That's true.
Would be interesting then, becuase they are housed in the cheapest going which will usually be in poorest parts of town.

The issue is, is really spending 7 million a week to house, 2.5 billion a year, surely something like purpose built places would be a better investment? Maybe they build the houses themselves like my granddad did?

I sure there’s a politics thread somewhere that you could discuss this. Politics like this isn’t a conspiracy theory.

Well it was in relation to the video posted of working class people moaning about the hotels, when the real issue is much deeper. Hence the distraction techniques used, same as used agai at CTs. Boils most big issue down there are people getting away with bad or poor things right under peoples noses.

The conspiracy is about extreme groups (usually far right) radicalise and recruit from traditional left wing heartlands and are allowed to do this. The thing they’re campaigning against is almost irrelevant. The politics behind immigration is a different discussion.

I think it is more the government manipulating the narrative, as Matt Jannock did where it tried to fake cry. Politicians see the public as idiots and easy to manipulate.

No, the twitter video you were referring to is specifically about the extremist groups attempting to demonise the immigrants within the areas they are being housed.
It’s not locals railing against an actual threat, it’s about locals being manipulated by fascist organisations.

The government message is another story.

Then what you think is incorrect. You’re reaching now and quite a lot. Matt Hancock was Health Secretary and therefore not in charge of immigration. The fact he decided to cry is just another example of his incompetence.

Oh and look at the strap line that I’ve copied directly from your TikTok link. As for it being TikTok that you’re quoting, then you might want to reconsider your sources for debate.

To quote plenty of midwits on Twitter - 37bn for an app and it didn't even work!

Of course that's easily shown to be BS - https://fullfact.org/health/test-and-trace-37-bill...

Looks like less than £30bn was spent, and the bulk of that was on those "free" tests that were given out like candy.
Ok, so the bulk was spent on test kits, but how much was spent on an app that never worked?

There's a thread for that. As you well know.

This thread is for whether CTs are thick.

Classic CT though: “Ok” “but” “?”. You never see a CT say ‘I was wrong about that’, just a little swerve and more ‘just asking questions’.

They either swerve or just don't bother answering the question. Then they reappear a little while later with a new question. Rinse and repeat. I'll demonstrate this soon...

They are never wrong, they will say they do sometimes but it is distraction.

I think CTs can be profiled, just like serial killers.

Things like, single or divorced, a high sense of intelligence (actually average), susceptible to biased news stories, a wanting to feel empowered as have a subservient job/relationships. Thinking that is on the edges of either left or right wing extremist viewpoints.

The big things are feelings of personal alienation or anxiety that are combined with a sense that society is in jeopardy, people experience this conspiratorial double overload.

What the issue is though these CT provide no actual solace , they are never ending and just actually prolong the anxiety, thus fuelling it to other CTs , for their whole life.

If a CTs ever self reflected they would implode at the emptiness.

I think you're onto something there.

I also think there's a cross-over into mental health issues. Caveat: I'm completely unqualified to make this statement, but it's based on my (limited) personal interactions with CTs. Every single one so far.

So, what you're saying is that it's OK to laugh at, and call thick, people with a mental illness?

My mate during lock down went full on mental issues, posting very extreme stuff on Facebook, getting worse, I even said he was a CT and took massive offence. His mental health was failing, even denied CV19 existing, got it (was antivax) and wouldn't even admit he got it, was really odd. He looks the uni-bomber now. I just steer clear of any conversations, because he just goes on one.

Which would sir prefer: being laughed at, or being committed to a mental institution?

Take yer pick.

Who said that?

The low intelligence link has been shown quite a few times.

Analytic thinking reduces belief in conspiracy theories
https://westminsterresearch.westminster.ac.uk/item...

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/science/scienti...

''A new scientific study has found that those who are receptive to pseudo-profound, intellectual-sounding 'bulls***' are less intelligent, less reflective, and more likely to be believe in conspiracy theories, the paranormal and alternative medicine.''

This is the issue, they become tunnel visioned on whatever CT and will not analyse anything that could invalidate these thoughts, therefore becoming a self fulfilling prophecy as they only focus on stories that validate their thoughts and dismiss everything else.
