Evening all. Hope everyone’s good.

Today i have been pottering a bit with the fixie bicycle project i’m building. I’m too old to ride one and i’ll look a right bloody idiot on it but i’ve always fancied one.

Afternoon all!

Reports to S9 suggest there is a 'teacher' in the Lounge?

Break out the best beverage, for we rarely see the BOTB in here!

Indeed, I've spent a bit of time this afternoon polishing the Absinthe spoons.

I'd be grateful if you didn't mention it if you happen to venture into the "Teaspoon" thread though, I don't want to get involved in another punch up.

Of course it's got bloody holes in it, it wouldn't be fit for purpose otherwise...grumpy

I haven't eaten anything since lunchtime.
And if I slumped in a bean bag, I'd never be able to get out of it again.
I was reclining gracefully on a bamboo and wickerwork two-seater chair in the conservatory watching the mad squirrels.

I now have to make a big decision about my dinner:

Shall I have left-over left-overs, or shall I cook something else?
I suppose I could have a lamb shank, and then decide later.

Meanwhile, I could open one of the new consignment of beers I purchased earlier to replenish my rather depleted stocks.

Yes. That. smile

Cheers! beer

Well done bomma, the effort involved finding the Abscinthe spoons alone, will be a tick against your record, irrespective of the holes.

I trust someone organised the salute and piping aboard? I would have attended but the Trivhamptonshire Hounds have, at last, cornered Old Gusset so I will be on duty shortly for the debrief.

There are still a few 'Old Tom' burgers left and, I understand, the stock of HB sausages has been replenished so if you are found wanting after your aperitif for nourishment, Arthur (landlord at the SDA) can send out prekilled or precooked, dependent on your requirements!

Delivery by drone is an extra if you cannot drive for various reasons?

That looks very pleasant, Magoo. There’s a lot to be said for rural France.

IOTN, did I mention I’ve had jab one? I was Astra-Zenica’d last Sunday and everyone I know who has had unpleasant side effects from a CoVid jab has had the AZ one, so I was a little apprehensive. Luckily, all I had was a sore arm for a few days and it really was sore! I was quite surprised, because the jab itself was a very fine needle and I didn’t even feel it going in to my arm.

IOOTN, The Idiot and I have returned from a very pleasant second trudge. We also did 2km on the beach first thing today, including said Idiot trying to eat the small waves that were breaking. We were out at 6 and it was so still and quiet, we could hear the waves as soon as we got out of the car. Bear in mind, we had to walk about 700 metres (that’s 47.2° Fahrenheit for those listening in Dolby stereo) to actually get to the water, so it was surprising how loud the waves were and how far the sound carries, especially as they were only about 4” (or qkwenteeve groatsticles) high as they broke.

I now need to decide on what o have for dinner... I might go for beans on toast, possibly.

Evening bobbers! wavey

I hate to mention it but, the tattoo on the forehead of Lord Roger has cause some consternation, I can tell you! He will be wearing his #2 wig in the Upper Chamber next week until the removal procedure has been organised.

The weals on his back are of lesser importance, as he regularly self flagellates ...
