I don’t think I have ever had a roof bar set up that allows more than 100kg/16stone in total load, so I am curious how two adults can move about in one.
That 100kg will be the static load.Off the top of my head the dynamic load rating is somewhere around 5x the static load.
Hold on, I'm going to ask the Mrs if we can get one.
But seriously, how many couples have a combined weight of less than 16 stone? 12 stone is fairly skinny for a 6' man, and even a small lady is 7 or 8 stone.
Across roofrack mounting points, with the car sat stationary, then you'd need to be the two fattest people in history to cause problems.
Of course, those two fattest people in history will have needed a crane and the combined efforts of the entire London Fire Brigade to get up the ladder first.

I think the cause of confusion for me was the choice of a mass unit instead of a force unit. It won't stop me attempting to persuade Mrs D we need a tent for bedtime bouncing on top of the car.

My first car fit a double futon mattress in the back (Mitsubishi Galant estate) - needed it due to a job that was a little insane now looking back.
Came in handy a few times though!

"Madonna will "vigorously defend" legal action brought by fans after she was more than two hours late for a show, her representatives have said.
The singer is being sued by two fans who attended her concert last month in New York.
The case says the pair "would not have paid for tickets" had they know it would finish so late."

It's the other way around. 100kg is the dynamic load, making assumptions of high speed motorway travel with potholes, etc., and a decent safety margin.
Across roofrack mounting points, with the car sat stationary, then you'd need to be the two fattest people in history to cause problems.
Of course, those two fattest people in history will have needed a crane and the combined efforts of the entire London Fire Brigade to get up the ladder first.
Seems that max braking force is about 5 metres a sec (about what humans can tolerate in a car as opposed to being strapped into a plane seat) Across roofrack mounting points, with the car sat stationary, then you'd need to be the two fattest people in history to cause problems.
Of course, those two fattest people in history will have needed a crane and the combined efforts of the entire London Fire Brigade to get up the ladder first.
So 100kg static load at a braking rate of half a G gives 500 Newtons force - approximately parking the car on it's bumper and hanging a 50kg weight off it. Real world numbers might take into account the impulse of the force.
(just thinking aloud -it piqued my interest)
(simple numbers from Newton's second law but failure to consider 2nd derivative deceleration = council)

The amount of time a celeb keeps their fans waiting the more Council they are. If a show is due to start at 7pm, it should start at 7 and not 7.01. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-6807...

absolutely this ^^^ it shows total disrespect for your fans to be that late. As for "...There's something that you all need to understand. And that is, that a queen is never late...." bks. I hope that the fans win their case Putting clip on earrings on your 3 year old, as council as it gets surely
