Gotta remember that most posters on Pistonheads look like Bradley Cooper and have a wife / partner that looks just like Gal Gadot but more attractive.
And usually seem to have a preference for the adolescent boy shape...

Not me, I don’t mind a curvy woman, but not one that will knock ten miles per gallon off my van’s fuel consumption.

Indeed. There are plenty of alternatives to 'morbidly obese' that stay well clear of 'body of 12 year old boy'.

Although she didnt deserve the level of abuse she got online as thats nasty, I get the impression if she wore that in a night club she'd be that kind of girl who appreciates the attention her tits draw from good looking men but as soon as a man she doesnt like looks at her, she would be thinking "perv".

so true.

I remember one of the ships i was on, some girl moaned because the blokes mess had a titty calender in it so it had to be hidden away. So the blokes moaned that the girls mess had a topless fireman/hunk calender in it. The blokes didnt care as such just did it out of revenge. But apparently the girls having a hunk calender was "different". ok........

If girls go to a strip club with men taking their clothes off, "it's a bit of fun". When it's vice versa, men are just "being perverts". Odd.

Also in Plumstead I visited a sheltered housing complex, I walked into the flat after the door was left open for me,to be hit with this wall of stench, this guy was sat on a chair with his leg on show, it looked like it has no skin on it, that's because it didn't.. I checked the sky terminal but had to leave, the smell was that bad, whilst im out side throwing up over a drain, he's on the phone making a complaint about my conduct, he had forgotten to mention why id just said I couldn't do the job and left. I had to go back a few weeks later where a nurse was onsite to open all the windows, she told me that, he has stubbed his little toe which went bad, he had left it and gangrene started, he was told he had to remove his little toe but he refused, it has got to now he was having to have his left arse cheek and left leg removed, oh the smell, rotten meat, that had rotten.

My wife's a paramedic, based in Sth. London. She attended that bloke and took him to hospital, just wrapped his leg(what was left of it) in a blanket and carried him out.It was a good few years ago,but it obviously stuck in my head! (amongst the hundreds of stories that would make your toes curl).

Small world.
It would have been around 2004-2007 and the flats were just off the A206..

Maggots are a decent treatment for gangrene. Larval debridement therapy, which sounds a bit more professional than let the maggots scrum down on the dead and smelly bits.

Those are the maggots bred in a sterile environment rather than the maggots laid by flies that have been crawling around on dog poop. laugh

If it worked on the western front in ww1 then sterility probably doesn't ultimately matter; the maggots eat quicker than the flesh can rot. Doesn't stop it stinking and being disgusting though.

The smell of gangrene is extremely special, a kind of perfume associated with elderly alcoholics with diabetes and an inability to cut toenails properly. Detectable at a large distance...

Funny enough your post reminded me of an episode in Sharpe the TV series, they were used in the eposode Sharpe's Eagle
