Parking in a busy residential street near an airport and calling an Uber for the last mile = council royalty.

Double points if the family complain about other peoples parking habits.
More info required. Local rag or family member? hehe
It was a PH post about a newspaper article a few years back, where people were doing just that and piling their cases into Ubers.

I was reminded of it by a recent post as it’s fits the council mantra perfectly.

They will also likely be the same holiday family who
crowds the boarding gate entrance
Gets up a 2am to put beach towels on a sun longer, before going off all day on a trip.
Complains that nobody from the hotel is looking after their kids while they sunbath.

I'd Park near the airport if I was driving far/going away for weeks. Why not? It's a public highway not the fiefdom of a local.

No one appears to do mental children's names like our antipodean friends (its old news but still excellent):

https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2008/jul/...

The judge said:
In his written ruling, he said names such as Stallion, Yeah Detroit, Fish and Chips, Twisty Poi, Keenan Got Lucy and Sex Fruit were prohibited by registration officials. Others that were permitted included twins called Benson and Hedges, other children called Midnight Chardonnay, Number 16 Bus Shelter and, the judge added, "tragically, Violence". Another mother tried to use text language for her child's name, he said.

One of my Aussie friends called her son "Hudson". When I was growing up, that was a surname. A British friend called her firstborn "Fletcher". That was also a surname when I was a kid. Tell me, why do people think it's cool to give their child a surname as their first name?

They can be either can't they, I certainly wouldn't grimace at either of those being a first name, wouldn't choose them mind!

My first/Christian name can be either and it certainly isn't chavvy; Alexander.

What about naming your child after a Star Wars character?
I overheard someone at one of the scensoredthole estates I was delivering to calling out,
"Anakin, come here". Council?
Being called Anakin is bad enough but living on a council estate is only going to add to his pain and suffering.
Rutherglen maternity.

Mid to late '90s.

Pocahontis McGuinness.

The kid will be mid 20s now. (If she made it that far.)

Claiming not to be chavvy; a desperate and unvalidated claim. Council.

Putting that sign up is more council than leaving your car there and buggering off on holiday. biggrin

I must admit I never understood the idea of a homeowner making vandalism threats against a legal parker... "sure you may vandalise my car, but I know exactly where you live!"

All the houses round there have got similar signs, just not quite so passive aggressive. Nice area (planes skimming the rooftops aside) but definate council / NIMBY attitude.

Without actual proof what are you going to do. It could be any local pissed off resident. Maybe not the homeowner the car is directly outside.

Proof? Council don't care about proof. That would require thought.
