Because that's what human beings do. And anonymity just makes it worse.

At the moment.... The French.

Specifically French air traffic controllers

Today I've lived out of Gatwick departurees firstly because a aerobridge crashed into the plane, obviously they needed to omect the aircraft to !ake sure it's still flight worthy... That was hours ago, however we missed out slot over France so we've been delayed like a lot of other flights goimg through French airspace.

Cheese eating surrender monkies.

Getting a mattress delivered, annoying enough that ours needed replacing (spring went), so there's the expense but that's not what pissed me off. The delivery company have given a 3 hour time slot - 6:30am - 9:30.

I normally get up at 8:30 but now I'm gonna have to set the fking alarm at 6 o fking clock in the morning. s. What sort of tt delivers things at 6 fking 30 in the bd morning rage

You can guarantee that they'll turn up at 9:30 after I've been awake three and half fking hours!

Why are people so tribal about mayonnaise vs. salad cream? They share the same main ingredients (oil, eggs, vinegar) and both are fine condiments.

In fact, growing up my mum always made egg based sandwiches with salad cream rather than mayonnaise. Not only was this filling still referred to as egg mayonnaise despite the lack of any mayonnaise, it was, and remains, the superior method of making an egg based sandwich filling. I will not be accepting any arguments on this point of fact.

Having lit the touch paper, I shall now retire to a safe distance.
Egg mayonnaise made with actual mayonnaise is st. The correct way to make an egg sandwich is to mash the hard boiled egg with some salad cream (as long as it's Heinz) and a bit of pepper.

beer

That is correct for a basic egg mayonnaise sandwich, but I also like to jazz it up a but by adding to that a pinch of salt, some chopped cherry tomato (but not too much otherwise it makes the filling go mushy) and water cress.

Bread ought to be crusty white bloomer, thickly sliced and lightly buttered.

yum

Garlic is st, onions are st, all alliums are st and chillis are st. People should learn to eat their food without a load of extra and strong flavours masking the taste of basic good food. And they should lay off the salt too.

People should learn to be more adventurous with the flavours they try wink

Agree with you on the salt though.

Like those who just have to have Brown or Tomato sauce on everything. vomit
( Even on a Sunday roast, there’s a reason why it’s not on the table... made worse when they enquire about it.)

That is a little different from a global refusal of onions, shallots, chillis and the like that I was responding to that are part and parcel of many meals. Anyone who wants ketchup on a Sunday roast needs to give their head a wobble.

Salad cress and water cress are different. The former is that stuff you grew at school on blotting paper, and the latter looks more like spinach, has a stronger flavour and grows in slow moving rivers.

thumbup I’ve had both... but the former is probably better for sandwiches.
The latter is better on salads.

NB: There seems to be a lot of recipes online for ‘egg & cress’ sandwiches... yikes
( And Mayo does seem popular).

The problem with water cress is that unless you chop it it has a tendency to be pulled from the sandwich instead of a clean bite through, leaving egg on your chin!
