Things that annoy you beyond reason...(Vol. 7)
Discussion
Me, I'm incredibly annoyed beyond belief at myself for not checking out a website properly before spending £150 on an exercise bike a week ago and then finding out last night that it's a site renowned for taking your money and not giving you anything for it!!!! I now have to work out how to get my money back!!!

I once bought a bike treadmill for my dads Christmas. It arrived and turns out it was just a bike tyre for the machine. Not so much annoyed, as a bit confused by an email I received this morning. The company I work for are doing an audit of all the hardware allocated to us and want to check we still have it all. Not sure if they have noticed, but 95% of our sites are closed and have been for the last 12 months, with most of our hardware locked up inside them.

The fact that my garage is not long enough to easily accommodate a DB9. I can't afford one anyway, but that's not the point.
Extend the garage door frame, that's what I did for my Turbo R, I built a timber box frame about 18" further out and rehung the up/over door in it, tongue & groove cladding painted white and lead flashing to the flat top. It looked sort of OK.21st Century Man said:

The trouble is, now you can't work out until you get your money back.NapierDeltic said:
Kate Garraway. She seems to be in the news every week and has a book out at the moment, and all because her husband got the covid. There is something slightly distasteful and 'me me me' about the whole thing, plus she must be coining it in. She might be brave and strong, but she isn't in a unique position any more. I lost an elderly relative about four months ago, who I hadn't seen since the start of lockdown. I got to watch their funeral over a grainy webcam. This is the reality for thousands of people at the moment.
On a similar note, I've been watching the Bake Off stand up to cancer series. This week the sob story was about a guy with incurable cancer. It seemed to focus rather heavily on how terrible it all was for his wife. Again the 'me me me' factor seems to have overtaken the actual sufferer of the illness. The guy has been handed a death sentence, but the real victim here is his wife of course.
I had Covid too and ended up in Hospital, so does this mean i can get a sweet TV and book deal as well?On a similar note, I've been watching the Bake Off stand up to cancer series. Thought as much.......

My dismay that when a blog or you tube " channel " start out with saying "a word from my sponsor " it's sadly never just one word, like perhaps Tincture or Spasm, it's a fecking 3 minute advert for earplugs or vaginal cream.
For me the best is Ryan George, who makes a whole 2 minute comedy sketch (the "adstronaut") out of his sponsorship(and its at the end of the video, which always helps)Gassing Station | The Lounge | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
