I ordered a piece of tech online direct from the manufacturer (Livescribe - a smart pen).
I was excited to get it delivered but was a little disappointed to find that it was a 5 business day delivery.
I was then excited to get a tracking number but was more disappointed to see that it was missing some export docs which was causing the courier issues.
I was then very disappointed to watch it get returned to sender.
I then tried to contact them.
Only email.
All the email gets its a "we'll look into it" response.
Follow up emails from me are ignored.
Messages on Twitter and Instagram are ignored.

Drivers who brake and/or manoeuver before deigning to use their indicators.

What's the feckin' point of signalling afterwards?

At least people around your area are using their confirmicators... Here they'll just brake sharply without warning or indicate right when going straight.

Airport car parking charges, AKA overly clever s and their stupid pricing "algorithms"

Checked last night to see the price for a forthcoming trip & get a quote of about 55 quid from a variety of operators

Go back tonight & they've all gone up to nearly 70 quid!!

What the juddering fk? Seems as though the closer you get to the departure date so the price goes up.

Its utter bks for something like car park charges.

You really cannot catch a break or get a fair deal in this country, some is always doing their best to fk you over. irked
i think all holiday/travel based services do this, car hire, flights, hotel rooms all rack up prices as
your holiday date gets nearer.

if i had been smart i should've booked a May flight from Edinburgh to Newark in Feb. for £500, today that same flight is £1400.

Don't the cookies have something to do with that? A return tends to prompt a higher price? Perhaps clear the cache before re-looking.

Pivture the scene, I'm following another car through the lovely village of Overstone in Northamptonshire (I'd link to streetview but they filmed before the traffic calming was in place). Part way through the village there's one of those traffic calming chicanes with signage indicating one direction has priority over the other. In this case my direction of travel did not have priority.

As we approached the car in front continued through, I saw a car coming in the opposite direction and slowed to accomodate their priority. However, they decided to move to the centre of the road blocking the car I was following WHICH WAS ALREADY THROUGH THE TRAFFIC CALMING CHICANE.

Seeing these shenanigans meant I had time to continue. So I did.

Meanwhile matey boy moved out of the way of the car I'd followed and moved to block me exiting the chicane. Yes, I was 80-90% through the chicane and he, not even in the chicane, blocked my exit. So I stopped.
Another car approached from the opposite direction to me. And eventually the idiot backed up.... not in to the space on the correct side of the road, but on my side of the road, next to the car that had just arrived. Oh FFS!!!

Eventually he pulled forward, around me and drove on, looking ready to go full postal on anyone in the vicinity. WAC!
What was even more annoying was the van that had arrived, as he drove past, shouted at me, "we have priority".

No. No you don't. Not if you arrive after I've already gone through the effing chicane you don't.

So, todey, people who think their direction has priority when they are quarter of a mile from the obstacle and cause problems for everyone in the vicinity because they are basically stupid tw**s are annoying me beyond reason.

If I can figure out how to dowload footage from my dashcam I will post over the weekend.

looking at ditching the ads on you tube.

you tube premium subscription in the US = $11.99
" " UK = £12.99

doesn't seem fair somehow, or should we just suck it up
and not cause a fuss ?

Ahh, that answers the question I was asked the other day as to why I don't see adverts on Youtube.

Add a Pihole and hardly see adverts anywhere.

Install Facebook Purity and don't see ads there, either.

Eridani... how is it pronounced?

I've always said it as "erid-ani" but I've recently heard it as "erid-nee".

It's an ancient Greek name if it helps.

Pretty much all demand based pricing is like this - the less product is left, the higher the price is.

Trick is just to book as early as you can smile

Lost dog postings on Social Media.

Most of them hundreds, and sometimes thousands, of miles away. Stupid pointless noise.

The feeling of angst when you see posts saying 'Happy Mother's day' today, before the momentary guilt of forgetting it is overwhelmed by relief with the realisation that the poster is in the USA, and you did send your Mother a card back in March

There was a contest to find the most distant missing dog and post it on your local one. Didn't last long, after a day or two every missing dog in the southern hemisphere was being posted in Basingstoke.
