'Issue' instead of 'Problem' . An issue is a point of contention .
When I worked in desktop support, a user saying they were having "issues" really boiled my piss for reasons I couldn't really explain laugh

My mother has just the basic TV channels, no Sky or anything else. Keeps complaining that there is never anything decent on or its just full of repeats. She has always resisted technology but someone got her a tablet and she now loves keeping in touch with people on Facebook.

I added her to my Netflix account but she refuses to use it even though there are series like Downtown Abbey that she likes. Its just her way of refusing technology. Cutting your nose of to spite your face. Maybe she just prefers to have something to moan about rather than do something about it.

Is nut a euphemism for fk? Unless it is, I don't get it.

To help you out: it can't be fk as the OP's a hermit.

I don't know what it means, but I'm pretty sure nut isn't a verb.

To be fair it sounds like he can't use a toilet, so he might be French and English is his second language hehe

"Expresso".

It's "espresso", for "pressed", not "expresso" for "quickly".

And don't get me started on "lar-tay" (latte).

Yeah, it'll be a verb. I nut, we nut, you nut, etc.

Anyway, 'delete' in reference to removing a part. 'DPF delete', 'spoiler delete', 'secondary cat delete'. fk off

Agreed. You either removed it or took it off.

Delete is in reference to a written word. If I remove some weeds from the garden, I'm not deleting the weeds.

Usually the same knuckle-dragging idiots who refer to a 'stage 3 tune', 'stage 4.5', 'stage 7'.

Isn't it a reference to remove the item from the build sheet, so it is never fitted as opposed to being fitted and removed.
My build sheet has 'spoiler delete' on it. Pretty sure it was not removed after being fitted at the factory.

i.e. Delete spoiler from list of components to be fitted.

It’s just another Americanism that has crept in and been adopted by certain areas who thought it sounded cooler.

Really? It's on the build sheet of my 1988 German car.

Mispronounciation intolerant. There's no 'r' in "latte" (lat-ay, not lar-tay)

Indeed, one does see it on spec sheets of new cars and also spec configurators on various manufacturer websites, but it's been lazily picked up by the 'scene' and seems to now wholly refer to something being removed from a car.

Reflector delete, foglamp delete, rear wiper delete etc. banghead

There's no 'r' in Bath. Doesn't stop them saying "Barth" though.

I always say this to my mum (84) about her friends. It's just a mindset, they can use the tech but just don't want to. And yet my Mum video calls her relative in NZ for long chats using WhatsApp, books holidays online and tickets to see stuff, reads the DM online (so not all good) and is part of a number of WhatsApp groups. Her friends 'children' can't believe how tech savvy she is! Some of them are still trying to pay for stuff by cheque!
