Estate Agents and their unbelievably stupid insistence on using fking fisheye cameras to photograph houses , thereby making all rooms look trapezoidal and nothing like what they are in real life.
It makes it nearly impossible to work out if the room is even square! It also makes it hard to get an idea of size as they all seem to use different degrees of "fisheye-ness" - at least if they all did it the same way it would help you compare. There's a house near me that's barely a 1 up 1 down yet it looks huge inside on the estate agent's pictures.
Back to "Your call is important to us" company phone line guff. Spent over an hour on hold both this morning and this evening while trying to find out whether my car is ready after its minor paint repair. It's been over a week with no contact from the paint shop.
I still don't know. No humans were involved today.

On the radio this morning, they interviewed someone with the job title: Social and Emotional Resilience Coordinator.
This person works in a primary school.
I'm regularly annoyed beyond reason by the bizarre (and generally unnecessary) job roles invented by the public sector, but, today, I think I'm annoyed beyond reason that we've created a society where this person actually has a busy and meaningful occupation. What the fk have we done?

People that wash dishes up by hand because they’re too lazy to empty the dishwasher. People that don’t put the dishwasher on meaning you have to wash dishes by hand because there’s no room in the dishwasher for the sink full of dirty dishes.
That's reasonable! My pet hate is people who can't be bothered to load the dishwasher so just chuck everything in the sink.

I'm going to agree with the last part, what have we done. This person works in a primary school.

Just look at recent cohorts going through university, they have absolutely zero emotional resilience to the rigours of life. There's question whether university authorities are actually and legally 'in loco parentis' for what are essentially adults starting to make their way in life.
It's been a few years now that research school admissions staff when dealing with applications and questions relating to people applying to do a PhD find themselves speaking to the applicant's mother. The student, who has been through secondary school, A levels, Bachelor degree, sometimes a Masters too, is now into twenties and is too scared to pick up a phone and speak to a Professor. FFS what has society done, indeed.
Furthermore look at the Higher Education Policy Institute survey on student attitudes. :shakeshead:

Mildly annoying : You have to reach over stuff to load it.
Majorly annoying : When you pull it out to load stuff - the centre of gravity now being so far forward - the drawer inevitably nose dives in to the gap between the body and the door.
On the local Facebook group... "House for sale soon, it's located at the end of <road> and is a 4 bed semi, DM me for more info" - also includes a photo of the house (that's painted grey, with grey windows and presumably has grey walls inside).
Firstly if you have more info, just post it with the advert and save yourself and everyone else some hassle.
Secondly why have 20+ people posted "send me info pls" (or similar) when it says to contact her and why is she replying to say she's sent them a message?
And because Facebook is now defaulting to "most relevant" it's showing me this on every visit when in reality it's not even vaguely relevant to me.

not quite getting this weird logic, washing dishes by hand is being lazy while using a costly and inefficient machine to wash dishes isn't ?

Obviously there is the capital cost of the machine itself but if you already have one then washing by hand costs more as the dishwasher is more efficient. It is cheaper, greener (again ignoring the machine itself), safer and faster than even the most frugal methods of handwashing.

However I think what Antony Moxley was p
Complaining about are people who don't do the dishes in whatever form, just letting them pile up complete with congealed crap on them until someone else does them because there are no dishes left.
Regardless of method, the lazy part is not doing them.
I'm a bit of a lazy fecker so I'll do my dishes right after I've finished using them... Because I really fking hate scrubbing.

Because FB isn't always great about notifying messages that have come from people who aren't in your "friends" list, so people want to be sure that the seller-to-be knows to check. I mean, a lot of it will be people who don't understand what "DM me for more info" means and thinks that putting a random post, often without tagging the seller, will be the same. But if I'm messaging someone about something offered in one of the recycle / reuse groups, I'll often send the message and put a post to say I have done so, mentioning the OP by name, just to double the chance that FB will deign to notify them.

I'm incredibly jealous of the people who say they don't use enough stuff to use a dishwasher, mine is on at least once a day, often twice, in lockdown it was sometimes on three times

Ours is on practically every day and there's only the two of us.2 adults and four kids
