Have you ever come across a prodigy/someone with exceptional ability? If so, were they fast tracked/given any extra tuition? How did they turn out?

Do you think stunting the development of children by asking them to wear masks in schools is a good idea?
Please do provide your peer reviewed research that shows wearing a mask has a negative impact on the development of children.
There is one referred to here:

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2020/08/26/school...

Another here:

https://celebrityparentsmag.com/kids-health/childr...

Child (expert) here

https://www.wishtv.com/news/mask-mandates-may-affe...

Of course, it is a bit of a no s**t sherlock given human nature and development, but you knew that already.

ETA - now, just for fun, please provide the risk assessment and/or peer review study that confirms wearing masks in schools is NOT detrimental to children. Health and Development of course....

Well I spent three years studying human nature and development so.... your “research “ just contains lots of hypothetical “ifs, buts and maybes” there I’m afraid. No actual evidence. Masks are not mandated in schools, but recommended, and as far as the U.K. is concerned, only in secondary schools, so there is very little issue with development cues or expressions. They won’t be wearing them outside either. And it won’t be forever....

“Celebrity Parents mag” and “wishtv”?! Seriously? Just oozing credibility there.... so in reality there is no evidence to back up your ludicrous claims.

What you are really asking is in your original post, hyperbole aside, should be “is requesting secondary school age children to wear a mask in classrooms and corridors, a lesser impact on their social and educational development compared to their continued absence from the school environment?” But you knew that right?

Are there any teachers that are more right wing than left wing?

If that was the case then you should know that wearing masks will have an adverse impact should you not?

Where is the research that proves it is safe and does not detract? Where is the risk assessment?

Great point. And the same can be said about wrestling crocodiles.

Pahahaha yeah that's exactly got I got my biomed degree, when asked for a paper reference, I just said 'yeah there's one on this celebrity parents mag article, look it up yourself yeah?'

For what it's worth, I even clicked the article and could only find lots of psychiatrist comments with no references to back up their statements, and even they provided a bunch of 'pros' to children wearing masks at the end of the article. Experts providing their opinions isn't the same as a peer reviewed article.

Go on pubmed rather than Facebook and read some actual scientific literature.

Have you been vaccinated? Do you think (as I do) that teachers should get to the front of the queue, or are you happy to wait until you get called by the 'normal' criteria of age/risk?
Not yet and yes I do think we should be one of the first
It appears certain areas are ahead of others on that front. I work in a school and had my first jab back in January (as did 400+ staff in the federation) and I hear second hand that staff in other schools in the area have been vaccinated.

The sight of a long-term homeopathy advocate and vaccine sceptic demanding evidence is breaking my irony meter.
