Oh bugger, wrong thread!

I thought this was the thread about when TVR was going to build their new factory.

+1

This one on Artificial Intelligence is particularly interesting, and a little bit concerning.

Have a look at it tomorrow.

Sorry for bumping, but I finally decided to fight my procrastination. Are there any good books (or other resources) that can help?

I think a lot of procrastination comes down to decision making, or more accurately lack of decision making.

Example:
Mrs Grim wants a new extract fan in the bathroom because the old one has packed up. Set about “researching” a new fan to kick the can down the road a bit, ha, ha. Coming under pressure to fix the problem I then narrowed the choice of fan down to about 6 different manufacturers and types, MF100, MF100T, MF100SA etc, aarrgghhh. Went to bed!

In my old profession I regularly had to do lots of decision making but the thing I learned early on was if all else fails make an informed decision if possible and stick with it. Failing to make a decision can be nearly as bad as not making a decision as once the decision is made new information invariably comes to light.

Now what shall I have for dinner !

Don't look on it as procrastination.

Look on it as working tomorrow for a better today.

Putting in the time to comment on this thread, so I can come back at a later time to add my actual comments to the thread. Will probably do this.

Coincidence, I was going to start this thread at least 5 years ago but never got round to it.

Procrastination has its benefits. I bought a new fence panel about 3 years ago and haven't got around to fitting it. Now it's faded and perfectly matches the other panels. If I'd been speedily efficient I would have to look at an eyesore mismatch for a couple of years.

Procrastination means you fall behind sooner thus giving you more time to catch up!
