Had the old dropping dead, shocked backed to life thing again yesterday, so am obviously in hospital.

If that isn't bad enough, they have switched the heating on today. grumpy

Best wishes, Colin. Today has been your least favourite weather, too. Very humid and warm. Felt far warmer than 20 mor so.
Sitrep - Mrs Puggit sat in front of an open window fanning herself and muttering rofl

Hope Colin is ok - not like him to miss a wet day wink

2 forward looking comments. More high pressure to come, some chance of heat with it.

Further forward - the real weather nerds are predicting a weaker than usual polar vortex - that would tend to suggest less wet/windy Atlantic weather, and in turn means a better chance of a cooler winter. See how careful I was with my words?

Do us all a favour and take it down. It's win/win you see. Bad weather, you win. Good weather, I caused it to happen.

Welcome home Colin thumbup

I'm thinking of getting a Zwift setup for the dark dank days - maybe something you can look in to too smile

Is it just me or is it particularly changeable at the moment? Even the met office don't seem to know what's coming even the next day.
Hurricane season is really confusing the models. I did mention this wink

We're also in a weather crossroads. We're not under the direct influence of either high or low, but as they wax and wane around us we can be on the edge of either.

Increasing signs of a cool spell towards the end of the month. I'm off to France in the start of Oct for a week of gardening, I would like it to be nice!

Some forecasts pointing at snow on top of the Cairngorms this time next week, and we all know what that means!

I don't care how ill you've been, it's still not an Indian Summer unless we've had a frost.

I have taken the dog for a longer than normal walk, taken a bike ride at lunch, and now working from garden.

It's really rather lovely.

This weekend is the annual village beer festival. It didn't happen last year, we have no pub in the village (see my posts in the Travelers threads), really looking forward to it. 20 degrees forecast.

Tomorrow is the equilux - when day and night are equal times.

Will almost certainly snow in Scotland next week.

A friend reports 2 or 3 inches of fresh on Ben Macdui today.

It's a shame the top restaurant cam on Cairngorm is broken as I reckon it would be white.
Yep, that's my normal indicator of snow. But I've used a tweet confirming snow on Ben Nevis and the winter thread is OPEN...
