Today is the hottest day of summer! wink

It's also the hottest day of the year. 26 degrees in Liverpool Airport (!)
I would imagine most home workers have become garden workers for the day today!

It spent most of the holiday weekend (here in the US) raining. We had to fire the heating back up as it was getting chilly. Temperatures should be back up to 30c by midweek.

Thunder didn't really bubble up. But the rain has passed through.

Drier and less warm weather coming up - but enjoyable low 20s.

Supposed to have driven down to Devon this morning, but our dog was beaten up in the woods yesterday so we had to call it off. So we missed the A303 in the rain smile

Sorry to hear about the dog Pug, hope he recovers okay.

Very humid here on the equator, the Parakeets have certainly quietened down.

Edit to add - Overcast & 25.4 degrees & 50% humidity on the weatherstation.

Low 20s is the best summer weather. Keep it coming.

Seemingly back to a more civilised temperature today. Feels cooler and fresher.

Kent clippers? Or are we in with a shout?

Berks is as far west as there is a chance for, so very slim for us. Kent/Sussex most likely.

East Berks - A very wet day so far.

And I swear everything outside that is green is even greener every time I look out of the window!

I can almost see the grass growing. Makes up for last year when the grass was getting stressed by now.

North Essex. Hasn’t stopped raining since about 11am.

I guess we’ve just had our summer and gone straight to autumn?

One day of rain - as we move to mid-June high pressure stays in charge. Plenty of indications that we'll be in the 30s by mid-June.

Sorry Colin...

I can confirm that, having enjoyed lunch on a terrace with 27C and bright sunshine earlier, it's blowing a bloody hoolie now and we've an enormous thunderstorm. Forked lightning all over the vicinity.

I've not seen rain and wind like this for, ooh.....weeks! laugh

After days and days of dry weather, here in NE Suffolk, our builders pour a concrete foundation and it immediately begins to rain. frown

North Essex also and this June is like last April/May. Everything is so green and the blossoms on the trees are extraordinary with this mix of rain and sun.
Just catching up so how's the hound Puggit?
