19deg and heavy, lowering cloud here in NE Suffolk. First proper cloud in days.

Contrast that to 7am this morning. Clear blue.

Out of interest, what's the humidity? 30.7c here and, surprisingly, 44% humidity.

Not nailed on for us yet, it's a little to the east to have a big impact. Weather tends to 'correct' further east as well, so not a done deal.

Rather you than me! 53% yesterday and it was surprisingly unpleasant. It's now dropped to 21% as the heat climbs.

57% here in the Beds Cambs border, so I’ve put the air con on in the bedroom.

The last few days I have been so glad not to be in my old south facing flat with this heat.

I'm one of those weirdos that has no trouble sleeping in the heat. It's even better, as I get the whole duvet to myself. hehe

There's two tricks to this. Be skinny, and not be fat.

Also, don't eat after 5p.m.

We open the windows once it gets dark and just let it match the outside temp.

Fallen at the first hurdle. Might get aircon installed instead

Used heat as an excuse to test fly new bivvy bag in the field out back last night. Getting a bit old for sleeping on a roll mat, but temp was fine. Tawny owl chick spent half the night screaming for food about 50yds from me which was initially very cool, but then started to grate.

I was at the start of the year. Down 25lb since then. Being lighter certainly helps - it was 25.5C last night in the bedroom; on the edge of being uncomfortable, but acceptable. Honestly though, make a point of not eating for at least 4 or 5 hours before going to bed.

Parts of Colorado (though fortunately not my bit) are due to hit record highs of 43C today. It's still likely to hit 40C where I am (currently 24C at 7.30a.m.).
