I was at the start of the year. Down 25lb since then. Being lighter certainly helps - it was 25.5C last night in the bedroom; on the edge of being uncomfortable, but acceptable. Honestly though, make a point of not eating for at least 4 or 5 hours before going to bed.

Parts of Colorado (though fortunately not my bit) are due to hit record highs of 43C today. It's still likely to hit 40C where I am (currently 24C at 7.30a.m.).
You’re absolutely right. My BMI is 26, so just the Base of overweight. I know many don’t like it, but it works for me. I agree being lighter helps. In Death Valley I was glad I wasn’t a big unit then biggrin

40 is serious warmth, and at the upper limit of me being comfortable.

I've been on the Netweather forum and there is much excitement.

Fingers crossed for a proper lightshow tomorrow.

It's going east. Don't get too excited...

Humidity will be horrible too.

I wouldn’t take much notice of that lot Colin
They were all jizzing their pants about a possible 62/63 winter type event a few months ago and fk all happened

I’m more inclined to take notice of Mr Puggit than that lot

I love storms n lightening though and I hope we get some massive ones 👍

Been a 34C day with lots of time in the pool . Good olde prairie storm heading our way now , winds picking up and humid as hell , clouds starting to build too . Tornadoes spotted a few hours NW of us so bodes well for a good drenching , let's hope the hail stays away . Love a good boomer .

I am sticking with my Kent theory for the big ones...

The trick with NW is to filter out the noisy ones who cherry pick charts which show what they want and to pay attention to the nay-sayers. That's all I do - they are the true chart readers, I just steal off them hehe

I know it's a bit early to be asking, but what's the forecast for July? I'm thinking of doing some kind of sponsored walk challenge but if it's going to be heatwave after heatwave then I might postpone until September, in the hope it'll be a more reasonable temperature.

Models are struggling to resolve any clarity. A couple of low pressures coming up from France really complicating matters. We don't even know where the thunder will be tonight hehe

Form horse is a return to high pressure nearby after this iffy period of a week or so - but low faith in that.

A few sparks happening on the French side of the channel and further West than predicted.

It is 'orreeeberlay humid and murking over here in East Berks as well.

I can almost smell the disappointment which awaits.

I think you just accurately summed up the weather threads biggrin

I’d love some rain to clear the air, it’s horribly heavy in SW London.

Looking at the net office predicted rainfall and where the storms are currently I’d expect Brighton to see the best this evening (like it seems to get most years).
