Purely for attempting to out Jimmy Saville. Shame the BBC forced him into censorship.

Vasily Zaitsev? A true legend in his craft.
Close. Simo Hayha. He preferred shooting Russians. Nicknamed 'White Death' which whilst cool back then, probably wouldn't catch on today.
I was thinking if that was Zaitsev, the photo must have been taken pre shot in the face. Thanks for the correction though. I should have taken more notice you said Finn and not Russian.
Yes the photo dates from before Hayha had his lower jaw shot off with an explosive round smile I gather he had to write to the papers to correct them when they published his obituary following the injury.

I gather his estimated kill rate was more than twice that of Zaitsev, and never used a telescopic sight.

'68 comeback special. My god he was magnificent!
He died trying to pass a turd the size of a baseball! How can that be cool?

He had been cooler, but it’s not where you start, it’s where you finish smile

Nope. Had a job to do and did it well.

I don't think it's appropriate or relevant to rate someone's coolness on the kind of death they had. I'd imagine most people are not very cool whilst dying.

Could you have done it? If not, is that because you’re uncool? Or because you didn’t want to kill 500 people?

I’d agree, but he certainly had lost any ‘cool’ during the 70’s.

Yeah, that's true, sadly. I think the best thing is to remember him in his prime, perhaps as he was at that '68 comeback special.

He was a soldier in a war, he's exactly what you need in a situation like that.

No, but I don't view Elvis as cool either.

Musicians can be cool if they stand for something more than their music.

I think Lenny Kravits has some good messages about being yourself. Below you'll read about how he's holed up in the Bahamas during Covid.

Me neither, he’d been cool, but as I said, it’s not where you start, it’s where you finish...

For those that are hard of thinking, it's Keanu Reeves. By all accounts an all-round decent chap.

It's his job to look like that and he has all the time in the world to make sure he stays like that. Have you seen Roger Daltrey with his shirt off?. He's 77.
