Heads up, originals Mexicana are £40 at the outlet stores. Picked up a pair from York designer outlet, guess the others will have them also.

I was thinking how I didn’t need another pair of yellow shoes and I prefer the other 2 yellow pairs I have, but bought em anyway

I'm really liking the new Mizuno Wave Rider Beta -

They look great - never had Mizuno sneaks before - had several Judo Gi’s from them over the years and a t-shirt I loved (off to find one now - was c. 1990 hehe

If their other gear is anything to go by, those will be bombproof too thumbup

I love Mizuno judogis because they do half size increments and the typical Japanese heavyweight frame can be short limbs and big belly = perfect fit!

These seem very popular up north, down here you rarely see them, few weekends ago in Liverpool they were everywhere!

Just gym? For running there are far better trainers to choose from!

Anyone ever tried the Asics EX89?

I saw they have these in a few different colours and considering trying something different. £125 does feel a bit steep though.

Got exclusive access to the J4 Pine Green's via the sneakers app this morning. Was a surprise and more so for my wife as it charged for paypal haha.

I'm a sucker for the J4 design and think this is the 4th pair I have now.

I've just been recommended some On's to help with a plantar issue that stems from a long term injury - friend is a physio and has pointed me in the direction of their CloudMonsters They are without question the most comfortable things I've ever worn.

ONs aren't my thing, but I've always thought they look like *the* most comfortable shoes.

i see them everywhere in europe, where they seem to be almost ubiquitous amongst 50-60 year olds

By all accounts the earlier models were pretty stiff and firm due to the Speedboard which meant a lot of runners really didn't like them after the 'Cloud' marketing. The Monsters seem to have changed that though, along with a new Cloudsurfer which looks like it might release this week.

Divisive looks but I like them and they're also a bit different from all the Nikes wandering around.

wasn't a dig really. you know the outdoorsey / still active and affluent older person. it they fit that look and are female, its very good odds they'll be wearing OC. i take this to be a good reflection on comfort and quality.

haven't tried any myself. after decades of wearing classics even my NB 574 feel like walking on air!

Wasn’t taken as one at all. I totally agree about them having a specific aesthetic. It’s just to find a shoe that’s helping.

And if a 574 is like air they must have been like concrete!
