As above, once you sift through the ste and tedious hype releases, there are loads of decent collabs going on.
New Balance, Diadora, Saucony, Roos, Puma, Asics... Loads of interesting stuff going on. Admittedly some collabs are a bit lacklustre and just seem to expect to get carried along by the very fact that they're a joint venture, but there's definitely really decent stuff out there.
Some brands release such good GR shoes that they shame many collaborative efforts, particularly NB with some of their MiUSA and UK releases, Karhu, Mizuno etc. Some of the Diadora N9000 Made In Italy GRs are outstanding.

The likes of Mizuno, ASICS, Karhu & Diadora fly mostly under the radar.
Speaking of interesting collabs and Mizuno. These may well be a love it or hate it thing, though.
"The Mizuno Contender takes us back to SHINZO Paris roots & DNA: the legacy of sport, performance, and 90’ culture. The Contender we worked on is an invitation to travel, from Paris to Tokyo.
The first skin, in corduroy, is inspired by the fashion capital, its subway, freestones, and architecture The second skin, in canvas, reminds the Japanese cherry blossom season and the colors of Tokyo. There are two options: let the pair wear out over time or use your creative instinct to combine the two worlds."

Never ventured into this thread before, but fell in love with a pair of Adidas Samba Fox trainers in the Stratford Wedtfield Adidas shop but they didn't have my size (UK 9). No probs I thought, I'll get a pair on line.
No chance anywhere, I've spent nearly an hour searching and nothing.
Anybody know where I could find a pair? Reference number is H04941.
Cheers!

I do like the creativity and the idea of shoes still looking interesting as they decay -- but corduroy on footwear sets my teeth on edge -- not quite sure why!
Fair enoughI've got the Hanon x Mizuno Sky Medal "The Angel's Share" (yet another cool shoe with interesting back story) which are also part corduroy, and they're stunners in-hand. I'm sure these will be the same

What are some good sites altogether? I use sneaker news and the sole supplier but with the like of the asics gel lyte 3 smoke blue being missed by me is it that they didnt report on them or did I just miss them?but out of interest I looked in the drop date the other day which I decided years ago was crap and they had a couple of gel lyte 3s on there that SN and TSS havent posted unless I've missed them or they're snoozing.
