I’d actually think it would be hard to establish a good social circle when you’re not in one place for any decent length of time.
Some of that 'social circle' may well just be talented young ladies you're 'helping through college'. wink
You could always build up a more meaning full circle in one or two places as I'm sure I'd gravitate to spend more time in one or two cites than the others, then maybe relocate some of the boltholes to other interesting locations.
Do like the idea of following the F1 but I'm not sure I'd want to do a full season, and again when the VIP life is back to normal.
Think I'd have a place in Rome and New York to start with, probably not got the budget for a place in Monaco so just holiday there when the F1 is in town, would be interested to try somewhere east Asian, the world really is your oyster with that budget, and invested well enough you shouldn't burn through all of it too quickly.

This - if you have 8 figures (which I take is at least £10,000,000!) you could easily drop at least say £0.5m on supporting a local charity close to your heart.

Damn nice problem to have!

I don't want to come across a party popper but if I was going to come into that sort of mamey at that time of life (obviously aside from a few nice cars, holiday home, holidays, coke n hookers etc..) I'd seriously consider doing some kind of local charity work, food bank or sponsor kids sports clubs etc... Or start a support foundation for poor gifted kids to get them through uni... Something like that. I can't think of anything that would be more rewarding.

My brother's been - twice. Once as a winner of an all-expenses paid trip around the world and a few years later for a holiday with his partner.

Both times he suffered. The first time he and his fellow travel companion spent days in the loo and the second time he caught a flesh-eating bug from a tiny scratch on his ankle. He was over-whelmed by the people and the country in general but said it's not the easiest place to relax and the poverty levels you'll see are hard to comprehend.

Eight figures, eh?

Treat yourself to some popcorn at the cinema.

Should just about cover it.

Was just wondering if there was any need for the OP to mention "8 figures"....if you have enough you know you have enough .

Anyhow good luck to him. Hope the impending divorce doesn't scupper plans

This thread is absolutely ridiculous. It's a brag which has somehow stretched to 3 pages.

Do you really think someone with (at least) £10,000,000 needs some help on how to spend money?

What should you spend it on? Whatever the fk you want, it's £10,000,000.

I see people suggesting cars and holidays, like that wouldn't have crossed his mind. Oh a car? You can buy a car with money?

Me. I would follow the F1 circus for a whole season, but stay in some decent accommodation rather than the st hole campsites I usually stay in.

In between, I would be visiting the worlds best golf courses. Or driving to nice places in nice cars.

And I would be perfectly happy doing so on my own.

If it was me, id buy some eligible cars and enter race meetings such as the Monaco Classic, great way to travel to world (monaco, suzuka, baku etc), meet old and new racing drivers and race some brilliant cars.

Holiday home, invest some for income and use that to support a charity. Stay healthy.

After three decades of a dutiful life, working (too) hard, being a decent husband and dad, all of a sudden I'm about to have
a lot more money,

a lot more time.
And
be a lot more single.
Explain.
Has your wife died and left you a fortune?
Did you divorce your wife 3 days before both your lottery tickets came in on a roll over ?
Did you retire?

Come on how is this possible?
