Yes. Kippers lick. Or Bloaters. Or kedgeree. Or caviar. Or oysters.
The perfect start to the day.

Really Bobbers, you need to broaden your horizons.

Glenrobbo I've had Cullen Skink in Edinburgh a couple of times, bloody lovely it was too, I like fish in things but I'm quite picky about it!

Much of rural France is beautiful, and much of Paris in interesting.

I'd like to see New Zealand, but suspect it won't be until I retire.

Morning all bouncebounce

It's been a busy couple of weeks here at Bomma HQ. We reached a T junction on our journey, we needed to decide whether to turn left or right. As we're a couple of strange fish, we've opted to go straight on instead and see where that takes us.

Quite possibly into a field of wet grass and sheep st and headfirst into an icy stream but you never know. We could end up somewhere nice in the Med for a while. We'll see what happens.

I don't know if Bomma's back, Bobbers, it sounds like he and Futtette are getting further away. And why not? You're only young once. smile

There have been lots of messages on my family WhatsApp this morning: my nephew, his missus and 2-month old baby boy and their dog Moe (they live in Turkey) were evacuated from their home at 01:00 hrs because of an approaching wildfire. yikes It was just a few hundred metres away. Luckily the wind died down a few hours later, and the fires were brought under control. They returned home at 05:30 hrs, having stayed with friends during the crisis. Phew, that was a close one!
A while ago they experienced an earthquake that caused a bit of damage, followed by the pandemic.
It's certainly an idyllic life they lead out there!
At least they shouldn't be troubled by any flooding, as they are quite high up out of tsunami range.

IOTN, it's a bit "meh!" here oop norf this morning. There is a feeling of something ominous about to happenk. Hard to describe, it feels heavy.
I think I'll go and sit on the toilet and squeeze my head and see if that improves things...

The place that most impressed my memory is Villefranche, a bit towards Italy from Antibes, where I was staying. Simply stunning. Was only there for half a day, was there for a ( unsuccessful) job interview as a relief ( i b4 e) skipper of a large "yacht".

You've mentioned that awful earthquake from 16 a couple of times paua, would it be insensitive to ask about it, what happened, coping with it, and the ongoing repercussions?
