I've lost track of how many of us are actually attending the TTSPRWYB, as for Percy and Rio racing down the strip, I'm fairly confident that Percy will have made it half way back to the pits by the time Rio finally crosses the finish line!!!

It is quite extreme in your quest for the fastestest Rioja Bleu on the 1/4 to have an endoscoop shoved up yer exhaust to check for valve clearance, and emissions's, if I may be so bald to suggest such tweakyiness b4 the big event, Bobbers!

Sadly, I will be absent in my attendance due to salty adventures but I shall look forward to reading the full report of the TTSPRWYB (Part 1) on my return.

If another resident wishes to post the TTFNQ this week, I'm sure Battert will be of assistance...

The most excellent Percy will win the day on pure beauty and style over performance, I'm sure Glenners, and a finer pilot sporting his tangerine helmet is yet to be born, I'll warrant...

Thanks to glenrobbo's kind wishes I did indeed have an unbroken night's sleep and indeed my bed was dry this morning!!! bow
Work until 0945, a journey to the other side of Southampton for a CovPoxLurgy test, and isolation until Friday morning, I have "stuff" planned to keep me occupied, some of it is weather dependent!!

Good morning everyone.
Milk has been fetched and jugged!
Rain expected soon.

Snow storm in September while sleeping in a hiace van on a hill in New Zealand still gives me fond memories. Sort of.

No mate. I could if needed but we have a 3litre churn that we pop down to the farm and the lovley Marie fills it for us straight from the storage glass from a milking machine normally after the cow has just given the milk.
So a couple of times a week normally.
I'm off back down there in a few minutes to price up some more work for them.

If I retire at some point I would like to go and help with the cows etc as its how I started working as a 12 year old boy on my local farm back in Hertfordshire all those years ago.

For a couple years, when I was a teen, we had a house cow. Took turns hand-milking.

That's quite normal. I have a house cow, but she has stopped yielding altogether these days.
I have thought about getting a young heifer, but I think they're probably more trouble than they are worth.

Although you can't beat whole milk fresh from the cow. cloud9

Morning all wavey
Glad you had a good sleep, Bobbers. thumbup

Robbopoppetlet and I are just going to feed some carrots to the horseys in the field, and then go to the swing park opposite.
I shall take a microfibre towel to make the big slide more slippery. smile

Like I say, it's fun fun fun here oop norf! smile

Nah, just called house cow because it supplied milk to the house, rather than being a commercial animal.
I have, however, visited a dairy farm in the Eifel, where the milking shed etc was attached to the house. Was a 3-storey house with a large smoking closet in the upper floor's chimney for curing various scrumbledidelydumptious meats. lick

Sounds like a kind of paradise to me Paua! Fresh creamy milk and smoked meats and fish.
Absolute yum yum or Miam Miam as they say rounds these parts.
