Wilko Johnson was billed to sign copies of the album he did with Roger Daltrey. In the neighbourhood, fan of Wilko's guitar style, popped along. Intercepted at the door by worried staff, "Wilko is unwell. Someone is standing in for him, if you're still interested." "Oh, right, who is it?" "Roger Daltrey."
What a lovely chap he is. Had a very congenial few minutes chatting.
I've met someone who played Woodstock. amongst other things.
Still haven't met Wilko.
