I worked in Sheffield for a year. It had to one of them.

The story went that Sheffield Wednesday was formed by lads from a foundry that cleaned the furnace on Wednesdays and Sundays. The steelworkers therefore, in addition to Sunday, had half day off on Wednesdays.
Wednesday play at Hillsborough but i wanted to avoid that particular chestnut.
That makes it worse. The project was very close to Hillsborough. Just looked in Wikipedia. They reckon it started as a cricket club with lads who had half day off Wednesday. Probably in retail then.

/unreliable as ever

I thought the blue and white stripes were emulating shopworkers' aprons. But that may be apocryphal.

Mrs C received her SLK
It's been going in and out of style

My wish for some GT racing on free tv has been granted ,Sunday morning ADAC GT Masters from Austria , re run of race 1 then live race2 ....channel 65 .

Have missed the first weekend from Oschersleben , wherever that is .

Will have to get up early ,starts at 8.30am .

Racing will be very average but a better average than the tarts of F1 .

Last year it was Lamborghinis ,Audi ,911s ,AMG Mercedes a Corvette and a BMW .

Today I went to town to pick up some bits and pieces. "Can you pick up some Evening Primrose oil?" she says as she can't find any anywhere.
So I call in at Lidlaldi and they have none in, is there a global shortage?
Just incase I missed it I ask the Lidlaldi guy. He says it must be over here and heads over to the cooking oil shelf.
How we laughed...
