It’s horse fly season in Somerset.

I have killed 9 yesterday and 7 today.

One was on my arm about to dig in!

Bloody horrible things.
Absolutely agree with you, Stick Legs. yes
Did you know there's a foolproof way to keep flies out of the kitchen?

I think Bobbers had a bad experience with an anchovy once upon a time...

Why is your wood outside, does it need to be dried and stuff?
What else does one do with anchovies?

I too love anchovies, ducks, eggs and fire wood. We have a lot in common. beer

Good morning everyone.
Anchovies,Muscoveys and Billoddies.

I'm on the edge again today!
. Yesterday I cut one side and took to the dump,if the weather plays ball I will attack the top from the back of my lorry then the other side.
It's a thick edge,mainly Laurel and privet.
The other side needs to have drastic action as its now too close to clients house and they want to paint the house next month. So some chainsaw action will be in order
I've a small dead pine tree to drop also with many Lilac bushes to severely trim due to the close proximity of them to house.
I may also cut grass! Lots of grass.

It's now started raining!

Bonjour et Bon courage a tous.

Fout.

It dries faster out in th open. Normal ( heritage) chooks, rather than ducks.

I know Bomma will be along shortly but, it's FFRRRIIIIIDDDAAAAYYYYY!!!! woohoo
Because we're only in for 4hrs on a Friday we tend to be a bit more relaxed in the ME department, so hopefully a bit of an easier morning for me, Dr's and a bike ride this afternoon!!

How many chooks do you have paua?

Horse fly's are those monstrous things that give you one hell of a bite/sting aren't they? I don't think we really get them here Dahn Sarf!!

Currently 7, Bobbers. 10 earlier in th yr, 3 managed to pension themselves off. I had 6 & bought 4 new pullets a yr ago. Might need to get some more. Natural attrition, they have th run of th place & produce much better eggs than th supermarket or even free-range hybrid chooks.
Two of 'em make green eggs - I'm yet to find a pig what can make green ham. wink

Good morning all.

It's a tad breezy out there today, with some high cloud. Yesterday's forecast rain didn't materialise so the two mosquito bites I received while watering the garden weren't in vain. We don't suffer from horse flies here in the Triv Estuary and from the sound of things it's just as well. We get house flies but perhaps they're just printing errors.

Bin day today and a visit to an increasingly deserted Waitrose is on the cards. We have some fiends coming for lunch on Sunday, bad planning as I'd prefer to watch the British Safety Car Championship races.

That's all for now

Very nice. smile

Have a nice day, Everybody. I have a day off with the kids, which is nice. Will take them to see my parents, which will also be nice.

Overall, I’m looking forward to a nice day.

Which is nice.

That's an ambitious plan of (in)action, spijeyhead,I hope you can pull it off successfully.

Good morneve Trivsters! wavey

I reckon this Happy Friday has had a woman's touch.
It looks very light and whimsical, soft and a bit pink.

Has Futtette been officially appointed as deputy Nominator of Days? Or has Bomma been compromised?

IOTN, it's a lovely morning for the binmen to be doing their thing, and they are at it at this very moment. CRASH! BANG!! WOLLAP!!! BRRRRRMMMM!!!!
And that's just the unrecyclables in the black bins.
With any luck, they will be along to empty the green bins just as the yummy mummies are arriving in their Chesea Tractors to drop off little Archie and Kristabelle at the school. I like a bit of mayhem and confusion.

It's a bright & sunny morning here oop norf.
My schedule for today involves tea, breakfast and a visit to my GP Surgery for a blood test. I have no idea why they're after my blood, but I shall ask when my long-awaited lung function test is likely to occur. It's been 28 months and counting...
