Yep good job I sold the SLK.....
Yes yes
Don't worry, hammo, you can now luxuriate in the fantastic fuel economy of the Flying "B".

I agree with you about the whole Le Mans thing.

It's the getting there, the atmosphere, the whole OCCASION, the partying, the revelry, the rivalry the ribaldry, the multiple nationalities, the racing through the night, the sun coming up in the morning, the sights, sounds and smells, there's nothing else quite like it!
And the memories linger on for years and years...

I was so glad to have been there in 1988. That race was something special cloud9

Just moments ago I thinking about you Mr P.

What about a Puffin then? A full back with a splendid Puffin! Fish n all.
I think our Pequod was referring to a different kind of Puffin, a relative of the Huffin and hard to find in a breathless world like this is...

Glad to hear the count is rising, Mr. P. thumbup

Have you sailed past the Baffling Island, and rounded the North Cape yet? Å?

I've seen Mallards tattoo. It's individual and impressive! I like it very much.

I've always been a tattoo fan but never had one. I've been to many tattoo shops with pals in past years but just never had one.
I've been threatening for years to go big with a full back crucifix along with yer man nailed up on it along with as many religious references that can be fitted in. Dark deep n moody would be the theme with coloration taken from the 12 stages.
I trust you won't make good that threat, old chap? Tattoos are for matelots, usually showing an anchor and the name of their beloved above, and should be illegal for anyone not a signed up seafarerer whether or not, in the Navy!! Harrumph..... whistle

ION: Blood letting today, aka gardening which involved extracting the thorny protuberances from our native bramble.

IOON: Puffin count improving......

Why thank you, kind Magoo, for sparing a moment to think of ol' Pequod, and no mistake.

Tattoos aren't for you, if I may so bold, old boy, but spend the money on another rack of fine wine and absinthe...

I've fancied a tattoo for many years, went so far as to design exactly what I wanted, which is a Celtic cross with an individual design at each of the four points containing some important dates and a different design at its centre, but Mrs Bobbers is dead against tattoos so I have refrained from getting one.

I'm not into them in general, when I was at Art college back in the late 70s we had some fantastic library books on the Art of tattooing, a lot of Japanese stuff in the books, but I don't have any.

On another note out with friends for a curry tonight. lick

Now, I could take umbrage at that comment, but I shan't, my brother had several tattoos, my father has one, my oldest friend is covered in them, another friend has several, none of them were ever in the Navy and none of them were or are council, a tattoo is an expression of yourself.

There now! An expression of yourself!
That's where it all falls down for me.
I'm not about to have a plasterers trowel tattooed on me or even a digger!
I can't have past sexual stuff as I would be banged up!
What's left?
A fiat coupe?
A rugby ball?
Drilled in religious stuff?
Soul music idols?
Mum n dad?

I do find it interesting though.

What about one of an open hand dropping your neighbour's car key down your bum crack?

Could top it off with a nice smiley face smile

I was planning to have a Salamander tattooed on my shoulder when I went to Australia with my friends. A week before I went my doctor informed me that I was ok to go but my immune system was not working and I wasn’t to catch anything so the tattoo was off the agenda. Ironically, when I returned from the holiday, I was diagnosed with cancer and the last treatment I had was radiotherapy. The nurse used a needle with ink on the point and stabbed my chest, thats what they used to aim the radiotherapy machine, so I got a tattoo after all.

That would certainly be a classic tat! rofl

I've always thought a good one for a raucous pisshead would be an anchor preceded by a 'W".
Nice and simple. smile

I'll be honest and say that people who have them on their faces do make me wonder, the same with girls who cover themselves with them, yes, I know I'm a strange person!!

I'm with Pequod on this one.

Still, at least it's an excuse for a bit of Groucho
