Certainly not. The elephant at the Towers is unmistakable as it habitually has a howdah to ferry visitors about.
Ah no-one told me, i've been sitting on top
There! Proof. If it was needed.
Someones trained it as a guard dog to keep the visitors away

Now, look chaps. I've been worrying needlessly about the size of Volume 38/39 due to it being twice the size of the optimum 500 page volumes, you remember, the volumes as they were that we came to know and love. Well, when I came to clear a space on the shelves in the Library I realised that Volume 2 was three times the optimum and a two-for-one can be easily accommodated. And it conveniently starts a fresh shelf.

smile

The only problem I can foresee is that the shelves are right for thirteen 'standard' volumes and six double volumes will create a gap. We should think about a filler or perhaps an amusing bookend.

Marvellous. I'm glad we got that sorted out.

NB The displaced books, including A Pictorial History of Grease Guns and The Compleat Tippler can be found in the cellar.

Terrible Tuesday continues.

Mrs Robbo's pussy cat passed away in the night, aged 14, following a gradual decline. Yesterday the vet examined her and administered an appetite stimulant which perked her up a bit and she ate some of her favourite cat food.
But yesterday evening she couldn't settle, and kept moving from one spot to another trying to get comfortable.
Poor little thing. At least she had a nice last meal.
Daughter #2 has just taken Pussy and her Mum to the pet crematorium.

A sad day.
And a bit dusty too.

Do we need more Elephants for the transfer to the new volume(s)?

No, no need for elephants. We should have a kitten though, I feel. Sorry to hear about the old mog, gr. Fourteen was a good run though.

The discrepancy between single and double volumes and six doubles not taking the space of thirteen singles problem.

It's just a proposal at this stage. Ideas welcome.

14 doesn't seem that old for a cat. Sorry for your loss.

Our old family cat when we were growing up lived to be about 26. In her last 10 years my parents moved to a rural house in the middle of wales and she turned from a docile, sleepy thing to a mass murderer of the local wildlife...

She'd come in and present mum with 'presents', often live rabbits...

Dear, oh dear.

I take a morning off, and return to tragedy and villainy - poor Brummiebeau gets burgled and has his car nicked, and the sad demise of Mrs Robbo's pussy.

Thoughts and prayers, obvs.

What happened to the heffalump? is it still about? It's going to find it difficult to hide, so it shouldn't be hard to find. Maybe Mrs Robbo could adopt it, as a pussy substitute?

I'm going out for a walk. I expect to find a pile of smouldering rubble when I return. You lot can't be trusted with anything.

It's a good job none of you make plane bits for a living...

How do you hide an elephant in a cherry tree?

Whatever you do, don't buy both domain names - which are available...

Becoming a student of Chekhov might be a good start.
