Good morning everyone! wavey

May I come in? I knocked at number 37, but they told me you had left a little earlier than expected.

Ah, I see we have a new Leader! I hope your support will remain firm and unchanged for many months.

Tip o' the hat to Bobbers for his unstinting stewardship of volume 37 through thick and thin.

Let the contributions flow!
A new Leader? confused

Oh! You mean me, don't you!

I'm the Leader! I'm the Leader!
I'm the Leader of the Gang I am. woohoo

No.
Wait. That doesn't really suit my image, does it?
I don't fancy wearing that medallion and spangly pants.
Or molesting miners.
They are too grimy and covered in ingrained coal dust.

No snow left here this morning, Bobbers, we had just a light sprinkling yesterday morning but its all melted now
But there's a fair bit up in the hills, around six inches, but severe drifting in the high winds.

Morning all.

I'm confused, the met office is telling me that it's freezing outside, but there's no frost on the ground. How will I know what to wear when I do eventually venture forth?
Wear your flip flops when driving the Atom, but take along a pair of snowshoes in case you get into a bit of a drift.

He works during the week at a garage miles away. I offered to take the car there but he was afraid the time taken to find an elusive fault would cost a fortune so he offered to do it at home for beer and food. Lovely guy, Big. But sad, With a tattooed scalp. We make an odd couple. We go into pubs and you see people wondering what the story is. Maybe they think I'm his dad.

Sorry, what was the question?
Maybe they think you're his lunch Dicky.

Good luck with the Quattro.

If I had a Quattro, I would call her Suzie.

Morning, all.

It's nice here. I might stay for a bit. Sorry I missed the Great Emigration from Vol, 37, but I fell asleep after watching a two-hour documentary about Michele Mouton, the lady rallyist, which I had recorded.

I'm contemplating a short walk, although the little green light on my weather station keeps blinking, to remind me that it's cold outside. No snow down here, though. Shame.

Thanks for looking after us in Vol 37, Bobbers. Have the rest of the day off.

Laters,...

For clarity, the car in question is 2005 Audi Avant 1.8T quattro. Not nothing super dooper nor nothing.

My youngest lad prefers four wheel drive but my eldest lad, who lives atop a hill in South Wales and would benefit most from AWD, tells us we are Kings of the Road for maybe two days a year.

Other opinions are available.

In my past experience, your chances of driving successfully in snow can be severely hampered by the limitations of the vehicle / driver combinations ahead of you.

When they block the road, you're buggered. rolleyes

Prepare for your journey and take appropriate clothing with you. Stillettoes and miniskirts and a light chiffon blouse aren't much good out on the wild and windy moors in the snow.

Been to the tip, been for a lovely walk, now home having lunch, car says outside temp is around 4 degrees, but I reckon the wind chill puts it into the minus numbers!!!

Mrs Robbo says she's so cold, she has begged me to turn the heating on!

She is so profligate with the earth's natural resources: it's not even February yet.
I told her to put on another overcoat.

The snow is coming down thick and fast now and starting to settle.

Last night was so cold all, I say all, the leaves fell off the mulberry.

In other news Mrs 23 seems to have hurt her wrist, so only light housekeeping duties from now on.

We've been busy, we've cleared out virtually all of our books which have been read, some nearly 100 books to be precise!!!
Now sat writing the first of the Christmas cards, think we've earned a wee something today, cheers all!! beer

I think it's because you rotters didn't send me a map from 37. Wandered around a bit, tide was coming in so had to scale a cliff. Found an (Internet) cafe they waived us off into the cyber space, stumbled around for bit and there you all were. Then my battery died.

Still it's tea and muffins now. wink

Afternoon all! wavey

Been busy attending to the erection of the Estate Christmas tree today. Norway's finest and 'tis a biggun too!

The fairy is decorating atop although there were suggestions this may be seen as against the latest protocol viz-a-viz 'upskirting'! rolleyes

I dunno, life is so complicated these days, I wonder if the faggots to light the blazing fire in the entrance to PH may be seen against some minority group or other? read

No sightings, but it's big in the wilderness, really big, unimaginably big.i don't think anyone has properly explored it.
