Trivton Parish Council have agreed to release nearly half of its strategic stockpile of trivia as it faces soaring demand from a pandemic home trivia boom and a poor harvest due to the wrong sort of weather. Battert has offered the Towers' slurry tanker and spreader. With no reference to us, I might add. Just, "Would they like to borrow them." We will keep you posted about developments.
Thankyou for keeping us updated, Dicky.
I'll be sure to stand well clear of the slurry spreader if/when it passes down the main corridor.
I have had a rummage in the cellars underneath the East Wing, and I'm happy to report that we have sufficient stocks of Trivia to keep us going until well into the new year.
Some of it is a bit damp though, but I'm sure it'll dry out if we hang it over the radiators.
We could have whip round at Pequod Hall if you're short of Trivia at the Towers? I'm sure there is a stockpile under the Library that contains a sufficient supply to reload the spreader for a few runs, but I may need a day or so notice to prepare Benson for the task.

Oh, good afternoon all! wavey

BTW, what would you pack into an emergency grab bag?

A bottle of Tabasco.

That's all I can think of at the moment.

Good start there DickyC, but what would you apply the sauce if you can't catch it?

Think about the scenario, cast adrift in a life raft mid ocean with the nearest land 1000 miles away, what would you want to have aboard?

A Gerber/Leatherman/Swiss Army Knife, a torch, matches/lighter, mag striker, cotton wool balls, a poncho, paracord, some hooks, a leather belt, shoe laces, small first aid kit, a tarpaulin/plastic sheet and a compass!!

Excellent start Bobbers, but shouldn't you include some form of signalling? After all, you is gonna be a small speck in a vast ocean so a hiviz jacket with a strap of Bomma's high altitude 'bangers' might attract some attention?

Or a mirror?

Sperm whales do indeed pack a lot of vitamins but they take a bit of catching, let alone landing/filleting/cooking for Her Hotness to consume!

Maybe shagging her until rescue arrives might be a better bet, if you are sure of survival? I wouldn't bet against you being the first to be skinned, diced, and turned into a coconut fricassee.... I've seen her on stage, more tigress than Fanny Craddock and had more experience, I shouldn't wonder!

I shall await the comments of Glenrobbo,as he's been banging her for the last decade or more.
Anyway I don't think "shagging her" was my idea of transferring my vitamin offering!

I didn't realise Glenners knew Fanny 'intimately' but she got about and I would imagine the boys in light blue would be high on her list?

Thanks, paua! What a guy! thumbup

I'm going as fast as I can.
I'm bringing a couple of pints of boiling water and some teabags to make a nice cuppa when I get there.

Do I turn right at Cape Horn?

Half a dozen jerry cans of petrol, a Yamaha outboard, a copy of Private eye and a packet of ciggies and a Zippo. Oh, and one of those Iridium satellite phone things smile

Anyhow, on the way home this evening a lorry passed me going in the opposite direction.
Nothing particularly remarkable about that except it had an astonishing number of LED lights adorning it, especially on the tractor unit.

I don't think I've ever seen so many lights on a single vehicle, I thought for a moment it was Blackpool sea front coming towards me.

Hellfire.

Hmmm. scratchchin

I've never before thought of Fanny Craddock as a tigress, but Johnny was always a rather astute chap. bow
I bet his back was a mass of claw marks, just like Magoo's arm.

Yes, Pequod, 'tis true: I've always been fond of Fanny. And Aunt Bessie' s dumplings
