Was looking up comedians that I'd forgotten about and was surprised to see Rory Mcgrath still going.

So my votes for him, even though he's not that old.

Was watching some old ToTPs on You Tube last night and she featured in a number of them.

Sorry to hear this news.

But it is in the wrong thread, of course.

Lead singer of AC/DC.

Geordie who looks like he probably should have been dead for many years already.

Almost certain to go - 'ooooh I say', 1960s charmer Leslie Philips.

Can't be far off 100.

On his 3rd or 4th (or 5th) wife.

Bit of a legend.

Really? He looks pretty good for seventy four years old.

Having said that, am I first in with Shane MacGowan?
How is he still alive? Or just preserved in alcohol?

Joan Collins.

Wouldn't it be a shame if someone so loved as Sir David Attenborough died in the same week as HRH The Queen, which would overshadow anyone else's death.

I see the usual ‘first to pop off’ thread has been closed in favour of this one. Perhaps a title change would be preferable, as I don’t think this should be restricted to ‘celebrities’. Very often the worthy people who never attained the rank of celebrity are the most interesting and deserved of our reflection.

As an example, is Desmond Tutu considered a celebrity? I am sorry to see him go, as he is one of the few churchmen I consider having contributed to the sum total of human happiness.
I just caught a news item saying Desmond Tutu has died. Only caught it faintly so not sure if true

Don’t know which is best;
To be one of the last of 2021... or be one of the first for 2022.
Either way... at least they will be remembered. RIP angel

Well her friend Toyah Wilcox and all the UK news channels and press obviously don’t have the same information as you do!

Long's passing was on Twitter at 01.00 am yet not confirmed on BBC TV news till 13.10,
one wonders how long a famous person's death is private before it is on twitter.
Seconds maybe ?

One has to muse if police, paramedics and [ gulp ] NHS hospital staff
[ bless them for they are the hope and the light ] are not above above such scabrous behaviour.
