All the 'Allo, 'Allo LeClerc actors gone now then. Roger LeClerc played by Jack Haig (1913 - 1989), and Ernest LeClerc played by Derek Royle (1928 - 1990), and then by Robin Parkinson (1929 - 2022)...

Younger kids of the 1980s may remember Robin Parkinson's voice more than his name/face, as he was the narrator of the kids' TV series 'Button Moon'.

Not really a celebrity but this guy had a major impact on me growing up and also cost me quite a few joysticks playing Daley Thompson's decathlon!

Now got the C64 Loading Music going through my head, Rydeen by the Yellow Magic Orchestra. Really was a brilliant time to be a kid, the games were there but tech wasnt as pervasive and invasive as it is now.

That's very sad: I've worked with David Ward in the context of a couple of technology businesses and he was a great guy: quiet, unassuming, friendly and incredibly wise.

Sadly the last time I saw him was at the funeral of another gaming industry pioneer, Ian Hetherington, last December.

RIP David.
