Just found this thread. 5/6
Been doing wordle for a while, are you guys on long streaks, found I can very reliably get each day’s as long as I concentrate?
My current streak is 22 but got a lot higher until I took my eye off the ball…..
I’m on a similar run to you at 29, but with a max streak well below your’s at 118. I’ve lost decent streaks due to travelling previously and the differing time zones, or clearing cookies catching me out, but that was rectified with an NYT free account. Last long streak was lost due to simply forgetting to do a day, rather than getting it wrong. I honestly can’t remember getting one wrong, but I’ve had a run recently where I was constantly pulling in 5s and 6s, often with multiple options left on the 6 and it being pure luck that I managed to get it.

Hi, yes the ones with multiple options are the most difficult in my experience. For a New York based website there are a lot of British slang type words that I don’t expect, probably to try and catch out our friends across the pond…..

Don’t forget the US spellings to catch us out though.

4. Another "I don't call that a word" word.

I'd say it is. Still took me 5 though. rolleyes Worgle in 3 is some compensation.

4 and 4

Wordle word was in the back of my head to get it in 4, I'm sure it's come up before in Quordle, Octordle etc.

Started poorly, but third go I had all the letters fortunately, as not a word I think I would have gone for.

I reckon it'll catch a few people out. I got lucky with a 3 today but only know the word because Mealy Pudding (i.e. oat & lard/butter stuffing) is a thing in Scotland, but I could have sworn it was spelt with 2x e.

Four today, I would say it is a word, though usually joined on to another one.

That wasn't my first choice with the letters available. Hence 4 for Wordle.
Byrdle in three took no time!

3 - new word on me - only got it by plugging away with 'random' letters but I think my first two words only gave me a small selection of possible answers

Lucked into a 3 today, was just trying to get the vowels in the right place after a load of yellows on my start word and was doing my usual trick of trying made-up up words to use popular letters and somehow got it.

Somehow got it in 4 seems to be a favourite word used on this forum from hardcore types as a prefix to “mouthed” when describing anyone who doesn’t share their politics which sit somewhere to the right of Genghis Khan
