Big one on the south coast last night, went on some time and some big bangs... One massive one which finally fully woke me, though none of the rest of the family heard anything!!

We're under the 3.9k bit, maybe I shouldn't scoff when she says it's the biggest storm she's experienced. scratchchin

You must be near me then, east side of Bournemouth. I don't know about biggest overall, but certainly that one strike was one of the single loudest I've experienced!

In Torbay about 11/half past last night there were some flashes and distant thunder.
Nothing big though... Not that I heard anyway. I left the window open because I love to watch lightning storms so I will be a bit upset if it was big here!

What's the forecast for London this weekend, flying over for a match at Wembley. Is it going to be shorts weather?

Almost in the Bullseye here.

Might have to do some Storm Chasing later.

As for that graphic showing what happened over Hampshire last night, fking hell, that must have been epic.

Given the slack flow across NW and NE England, these areas would be favourable for perhaps a couple of convergence-driven funnel clouds.

This is about as exciting as it gets without it snowing!

Weather warning from 13:00-22:00 in Leeds but no sign of anything yet. It's bright with plenty of cumulous clouds knocking about but it's been really muggy all weekend so hoping a good storm will clear the air.

Then where did it go? We heard some distant rumbles over the hills NE of there, but nothing else.

It's been forecast all day long, but never arrived.

Sitting in the garden working, nothing but sunshine. Like this for the next 3 months would be perfect, thanks.

Big day of storms ahead tomorrow - probably the peak of the current series. Kent likely to win overall, but a wide risk...
