As per yesterday, watch Hampshire to Kent... This could be a real whopper... Strangely no MetOffice warnings at this point.

Yeah but no but!
The Met office app said we'd have heavy rain for 2 hours in North Essex last night and we got a light shower lasting 20 minutes.
Will this happen? I'll put the garden cushions away just to be safe biggrin

As always with storms - it's hit or miss. Some parts in the middle of the highest zones will see nothing, people will complain the warning was wrong...

Another glorious day working from the garden with near-constant sunshine, but not TOOOOO hot. Can retire indoors to cool down when required, so this is pretty much the perfect combination of sun and temperature.

A small rash of storms just appearing in the Channel Islands. This is tonight's main course which will head NE.

Sussex remains most likely to be hit.

Looking at the radar, I reckon SE London / Gillingham will get some fireworks

We’ve just had some here.
Heavy rain, sheet lightning and thunder.

North Wiltshire.

View from earlier here in Guernsey, surrounded by thunder activity but no flashes or bangs.

Just started raining here in Brighton, and the first flash of lightning & rumble - looking good!

Can hear distant rumbling in South London - hopefully it draws in over the next hour or so.

Gatwick appears to be shut, stuff is holding on FR24. I can see quite a bit of flashing and banging from that direction.

Looks like they have released one to have a go. A SmartLynx A320 on approach.
