Had a couple of flurries last night and woke up to actual snowfall. We’re in Aberdeenshire.

Yeah, we only typically get the stupidly hot stuff here for a week or 2 back end of July/beginning of august.

Low/mid 30’s is manageable for me as long as it’s not humid… which it isn’t most of the time.

7C here today… thankfully calm, but really not feeling very springlike.

Got up to 18C down here on the south coast. Very pleasant day. I forgot to open the roof vent on my greenhouse yesterday and it hit 47C! Oops.

We could be good now. Lowest forecast overnight temperature for the next 10 days is ~6C.

Highs up to 25C.

It's August. South East and the heating just clicked on . Set at 15 degrees. I am so fed up of this .

Edited to add. I will vote for any party at the next election that pledges to move the jet stream north of us .

I went to Snetterton earlier today. Rained all the time. Just got home and put the central heating on to dry my clothes!! So much for the British Summer.

I think it is , it's August and the TV constantly talks about global warming. It's surprising to me .

It's called climate change. It is basic physics. If more energy is put into a system it has to go somewhere. It does not mean it has to be hotter here all of the time. It would be daft to think that.

My Dad was a part time Meteorologist and as a sailor I've been a weather watcher for over 50 years. One of my best mates studied Physics and Meteorology. If asked he explains what's going on and likely direction of climate travel.

23 degrees as we arrived chez nous. Now 10 past 9 and still sat outside in a t-shirt with a glass of Tourraine.

Cheers!
