I wouldn't mind a battered jumbo sausage if there's anything doing at the chippy lick
Not a battered sausage! He'd have to investigate. Put him right off his dinner, it would.
Oh fudge, I'd not thought of that cop

Plain one then, please. Just a plain jumbo will do nicely, thanks.

Incidentally, I suppose I should remind everyone that the winter's over, it's now officially spring time bounce

First day was yesterday, in fact. I expect that's why old Snoop's attending to his garden.

Having done so, I received a phone call from my darling daughter with the good tidings that her car has once again displayed the same warning lights that appeared last week, namely ABS, tyre pressure, and parking sensor failure. So I phoned the local VW dealer, who advised that as the car is now out of warranty (by one month), they would have to charge £70 for a diagnostic check in order to find out what's wrong.
We forever got ABS/Tyre pressure warnings on the Maxda 6, we had all 4 sensors changed under warranty, they had it for a day for a full reset and 'learning session' but it still triggered within a mile of every journey. We just learnt to ignore it.

Their solution was to change all 4 tyres at the same time (at £200 a time) which we did once as they all wore out about the same time. Fixed it briefly for about a month. It's because it measures rolling diameter, but it never worked right.

Some of my daffodils are out but the 400 new ones I put in last year and flowed once, have refused to attend this year. Rather than yellow they sent me by mistake some fancy small headed white ones. They popped up early in December, got frighted by the foul weather and gave up.

Lovely colourful reminder Bomma, they all look far happier than I do when I'm gardening!!!

400 daffodils Byker28i!! That must be quite a sight when they do bloom!!!

It's always fascinated me as to why we add more and more electronics to cars, it's just more stuff to go wrong!!!

I do agree about adding unnecessary extras to cars like electronics, doors, roof etc

Morning All. wavey I hope you are all doing well.

Into week 3 of WFH for my new role. I'm not getting away from my desk enough, and the pigeons are repeatedly getting amorous in the garden.

The car is in the garage for a service, and I have a washing machine KIA Picanto for a courtesy car. Deep joy.

Lovely Snoopy today, Bom smile

Tell me about it. I think it's a case of adding more and more electronic parts which are monitored by sensors, and it's usually the sensors which are the problem.

The Polo will be in receipt of a new set of Michelin's finest tomorrow, it will be interesting to see what happens. I've noted Byker's response earlier - thank you.

Meanwhile, today has barely started, and I've received a message from my bank to the effect that one of my accounts has become overdrawn. A quick check on matters via my phone reveals that BT, not content with debiting me for a quarter's broadband and BT Sport subscription last Friday, have debited me again today. Or at least they've tried to.

This is the very same BT which has been sending me texts and emails almost hourly to confirm that my attachment to full fibre will be happening today. I have also received a call from the engineer, telling me that he is on his way. I know that not having enough
information about what's happening is frustrating, but having too much information is equally annoying.

Still, I'm looking forward to having fibre. We don't get enough fibre, and it's good for us.

Today is on hold until I have been successfully fibred-up, which will also mean that I will be incommunicado.

Play nicely while I'm disconnected.

I made a mistake, we have some in the front lawn, my wife loves daffodils so I bought some bulbs to add to the few clumps.
You could buy 20 bulbs for £4, 50 bulbs for £8, or for around £20 delivered a 10kg sack...

I didn't realise just how many bulbs that was...
Then after they were all planted in both houses, they came up first in wales and weren't yellow but fancy white ones, so looked all wrong... The supplier suggested I could return them!
So I've mixed in around 40 tulips and hyacinths as well now...

Just all looking a little sad currently, just mostly stunted green leaves, or not come through at all

Working from home is a privilege and a right pain. I get out of bed around 6am, I'm bored, so I start working not long after that. I wave my wife goodbye as she goes to do a real job. I'm my own boss so I can't complain about doing extra hours but I've a never ending list of things that need done and although I've employees I've no-one else I trust to do some of them. Issues maybe.

I do more onsite work these days and it's good for the soul having to shave, shower, and wear some proper clothes. My friends and wife have noticed the change in my demeanour. For all the benefits of WFH it's not good for the mind to only WFH, in my case anyway.

Gude Moaning, Fuitbats! wavey

Still live & kicking here, and Elbow Test still negative this morning.
A rather traumatic day yesterday with Errant Boy problems causing anxiety and frustration trying to get some response from the local MHT.
After some badgering, I did eventually get their duty responsible adult to listen late on in the day, and he has promised that the team will discuss the best course of action today, and keep me informed.
It's a worry that I could happily do without at the moment. frown

My energy supplier continues to leave every stone undisturbed in their determined quest to resolve all the insurmountable issues they have encountered since taking over my account over a year ago, and have sent me an email asking "How are we doing?"
Unfortunately their graded scale does not descend to sufficient depths to be able to quantify their colossal ineptitude and incompetence.
I have been expecting a progress update from their Advanced Resolutions Team, advising me when I can expect an accurate updated statement of my energy use over the past 13 months, and the striking out of their estimated debit balance of £5675.16, but instead they send me a customer satisfaction survey.
Marvellous!

Really fking marvellous. :sigh:

On the 27th Feb, they said they expected it would take a maximum of 10 working days to rectify this clusterfk entirely of their own making resolve my case. Even if they were only working a 3-day week, they have failed miserably.

Next step will be me lodging a strong complaint with the Energy Ombudsman, as suggested by Bobbers.
If my angioplasty goes tits up next month, I don't want Mrs Robbo to be subjected to all the worry and stress of dealing with these clowns on top of everything else.

IOTN, it's sunny out. I think I'll go for a walk.

Have a nice day, y'all! wavey
How's the grandparenting going, Dicky?

Tuesdays Mrs B has the grandkids. She's gone forest walking this morning so I'm trying to get as much work done as possible whilst they are out as they'll be back lunchtime.

Elsies doing really well, a constant cold/runny nose, but otherwise seems to have mostly escaped the issues she had from birth. Even being death in one ear doesn't seem to phase her, although her foirst word the other day was "asha", much to mum and nana's disgust. Today I was working on Bampi before they went out biggrin
