Hello all TT residents.

Rain, cloud and wind today in the North East wing.

Mrs H and I have got into this habit of binge watching chosen programmes. We are currently on The Good Place a very strange but sometimes funny Netflix Prog. It’s a bit like heaven and hell meets Portmerion.

Bobbers I’m impressed with your level of work output all before lunch yesterday. I used to work like that about 5 years ago but decided it was doing me more harm than good hence the need to go to the stent outfitters.
To be fair hammo19 it's a pace I'm happy with, it's when things slow down and I take a breath that I start to worry, mainly because I'm wondering what I've forgotten!! laugh

How's Mrs H doing after her op???

Sounds like you have it under control and would prefer to keep busy.

Very kind of you to ask after Mrs H. Slow progress but getting move movement in her knee on a daily basis. She's off to hospital tomorrow for status check up so we'll know if we are doing things right.

Good morneve all!

Having survived a couple of hours incarceration at Costco, all is now well. Little Miss O'Logical's car is now adorned with a lovely set of Michelin Crossclimates, and is positively gleaming (can anything gleam negatively?) after a quick snowfoaming, shampooing and purified water rinse. She's delighted with it, and I'm delighted that she listened to me and took my advice about tyres.

All of that was followed in the evening with dinner with my sister and brother-in-law, which was nice.

Nothing planned for today, so I'll put in some hard yards to get my step count up, then see what happens. Listening to the work traumas and tribulations of you guys makes me feel fortunate and grateful to have retired. You have my sympathy.

Right. An hour or so in the great outdoors beckons.

To be fair Costco isn't that bad, it's the clientele that is mostly made up of muppets. We only ever go for laundry stuff, bog or kitchen roll or for the fuel as they are at least 6p a litre cheaper than everywhere else. Bear in mind i live reasonably close to Laaandan - 20 miles north of the M25 - and Diseasel is below £1.40 a litre at Costco

I always try to pick the least worst times to go. UNtil last year I was a cardholder on a Trade card, so I could go in the mornings, but I'm now in cattle class and have to go with the rest of the riff-raff.

But Costco is good for many things, including tyres, and their optical service is good. And several of their food items are excellent, so I'll probably continue with my membership for a while.

ION, I'm back from the great outdoors, and it was quite bracing. I felt as though my dose of fresh air was being force-fed to me at times, and I didn'tg really want that much, certainly not all at once. Anyway, coffee and bikkies now, before a spot of housework and lunch. Which will be Costco pasta, chicken and bacon salad, laced with spring onion.

Adios.

Adios.
Indeed, their Belgian Chocolate shortbread is immense and their meat is usually really good

biggrin. I know what you mean, D O'L. Three times my hat blew off on the way back from school! It was a tad gusty!
Robbopoppetlet has well & truly mastered her scooter, far outpacing me, but she's sensible and waits for me to catch her up at each road junction.
I came pretty close to delving into my pocket for my GTN spray. :gasp: tongue outant: wobble

I'm now sat at home patiently waiting for a call back from the woefully under-resourced MH Team.

Coffee time I think. coffee

Good to hear Mrs Hammo is making steady progress after her op.

Another fast paced morning, multiple projects on the go, a quick lesson to an apprentice in longhand programming, an argument with management and planning over whose responsibility it is to get a routing amended, and my standard 2 meetings, really looking forward to 10 days off and York tomorrow!!!

Howdy playmates!
I waved adios to my tipper lorry this morning. That's possibly the last tipper I will ever have.

Some funds for my future projects comes in handy though.

I've been busy clearing away pot plants and various tubs etc from the front of the house as I'm getting round to re painting it which includes, shutters,Windows, doors, exposed rafter feet and under tile soffit boards and all the walls.
Then I shall excavate the drive that's in front and cobble pave it. It's only wacked down type one at the moment and grass etc keeps self seeding making it look untidy like.

IOTN. We've had a call from Ginette,if you remember she owns the little holiday house that's attached to ours.
She has decided to sell up.
So her family will bring her down to discuss us buying it.

We don't really want or need the house but don't want any different people owning it. She also pays me to look after the house and garden.
We're both very fond of Ginette and it's going to be very sad to not have her visiting. Her husband John was very hands on,even at the age of 90 he was still doing DIY on the house.
It was a little barn that John inherited from his grandfather and in the 50,s and 60, John and Ginette slowly turned it into a little holiday home.
They even dug their own 11 metre deep well by hand,Ginette lowering a bucket down to John on a pully etc.
It's still working with an electric pump down there.

We Allways thought we may have to buy it one day.

We have the same with the schoolhall next door that was an antiques center. We have the masters house.
They shut after Covid, but now open 2 hours on a saturday to move the better stuff from their house clearance business. Crisis adverted, I've no need for it, buy didn't want another more active business there.

We fitted in a trip to the castle to run around all the walls and towers, then left Mrs B at home exhausted whilst we went swimming.
Elsie is asleep, Grayson is still running around so we may have to visit the beach when we walk Asha.

It's a hard like biggrin

I have been thinking for a long time now about a few bits and bobs and one of them, is the amount of time i spend on t'interweb and socialmeeja in general and i've decided i need to spend less time perusing the web and a bit more time reading, flying the slopesadrone, walking Buster the Slopeshound etc, so i will drop in now and then but for the most part, i will be absent.

So long and thanks for all the fish.

Oh FFS! It's all kicking off here. Daughter and grandkids are with us, and her useless waste of space hubby has just admitted he was sacked again, about 6 weeks ago.

He had a fantastic job with the council, good salary, pension, everything, but he didn't pass probation because he wouldn't do as asked, he knew better...

tt, this is the 4th time he's done this in 4_years, including being in benefits for 15 months.
The same every time, he won't hold down a job, lazy bd...

Oh Ffs, I haven't the money to keep bailing them out...

Good grief! What is wrong with the yoof of today? Fair enough jumping ship, if you have another employment opportunity, otherwise, being a 'responsible adult' with others to think of, this sort of irresponsibility is unacceptable, and needs calling out!
Good luck Byker, I sympathise with your situation.

ION: Good afternoon all!
Wet post meridiem following a gusty, but dry, perimeter patrol ante mer... you know the rest!

IOTN: A two (2) horse race at Sedgefield resulted in the only combination of horse and rider, completing the course! Bizarre...

IOOTN: No sign of the Sparrowhawk...
