Tell us something really trivial about your life Volume 39

Good morneve everybody!
Bright and sunny here in the Deep Sarf, which is nice, and I'm off to Sarfampton with my sister and brother-in-law for a quick shopping sortie to get some essential supplies of Nespresso pods and some Sky streaming devices, to make use of my new full-fibre broadband.
It's so fast that I typed this before I've even woken up this morning.
Sorry to hear about family-based woes of illnesses and unemployment. It's very unsettling for all concerned, and those around them. My son had to go to Birmingham yesterday, so he's doing some hard yards. He's safely home and recovering now.
No international rugby, cricket or F1 this weekend. I don't know what to do, although a nice long walk might be in order, weather permitting. According to last night's forecast we could be back in Siberia by Monday, when Little Miss O'Logical and I will be at Scumwharf, so that she can transfer a large part of her annual bonus to a Mr Ralph Lauren.
Have a great time in York, Bobbers and Mrs Bobbers. May the weather gods smile on you.

Morning All. Have a great break, Bobbers!
Daughter to the doctor this morning. Might book an appointment for myself while I'm there. I really don't like going, as I feel like I'm wasting their time as I'm sure it's nothing; those nothings are beginning to add up now, so better safe than sorry! At least I can waste (hopefully!) only one appointment, instead of several if I were to go in for each nothing that's cropped up over the last 6 months.
Sun's out; hedgerow birdies are chirping away. Nice start to a springtime Friday morning.
Pigeons are at it again, mind.

Here's an interesting bit of trivia for a friday morning:
On this day in 1834 William Morris the influential Victorian designer was born.
The south transept window of the church of St Michael and All Angels in Lyndhurst, Hampshire was made in the William Morris workshop. It is thought that the bearded man being grabbed by the scruff of his collar in the lower left window was a representation of William Morris.
/Not a lot of people know that

Will you be going up the York spinster?
Good morning all from a very rainy outpost F.
I'm so happy you ignored the obvious double entendre Will you be going up the York spinster?

Bright and sunny here this morning but clouding over slightly. Off to Folly Farm this morning with the grandkids. Lots of animals, it's more like a zooo, rides, a vintage funfair. Good fun

Excellent. We have Morris curtains in the second bedroom, and there's Broadway tower thats well worth a visit as it's Morris home. He had a bath on the turret roof!On this day in 1834 William Morris the influential Victorian designer was born.

Latest on things with he who must be shamed, is my daughters car has been dumped somewhere as it ran out if fuel (as well as having no tax, mot, insurance) and the last fuel he put in it he didn't pay for (because card declined) and so he left his driving licence saying he'd return that day, that was about 10 days ago.
So at some point I also have to recover her car, get it all legal so she can get to work next week!

Did you know?
To be made to “kiss the gunner's daughter” is to be tied over a cannon (the gunner's daughter) in order to be beaten, usually with a cat of nine tails. The phrase dates back at least to 1785 but is probably older. Sir Walter Scott uses the phrase in his book Redgauntlet.

Is he ill in some way?
I'm back, and it seems that I've had to catch up on Byker's son-in-law induced traumas, and I was starting to think that if Bobbers didn't stop stopping he'd never get to York, but I see that he has. Although I thought that Betty's Tearoom was in Harrogate, or has she branched out?
This morning's trip to Sarfampton was a success, in that I managed to fulfil my shopping list before about 10am, then I had an hour to kill before my sister finished her eye test appointment, so I just ambled about, stopping to look at expensive shiny things displayed to test the willpower, but I resisted.
West Quay was surprisingly busy, so I'm beginning to doubt the doom-mongers who keep proclaiming that people are having to eat their own children in order to survive.
Car-washing beckons. It's a bit gusty outside, so I don't think I'll bother with the snow foam.

Anyhow, I've concluded my pick up business in Yarmuff and we've made our weekly pilgrimage to the Tractor & Tailback.
Anyone for a couple of scampi fries?
Mmmmmmm, scampi fries!!!
We've arrived at our FOB for the duration of our Yorkshire mission, it's quite acceptable as far as billets go.........
Whilst in York I was forced into purchasing some whisky......
We managed to get a massage booked for me for Monday morning, I've never had a massage other than a deep tissue massage by a sports therapist so I'm rather looking forward to it!!!

Ah, fond memories of life's little pleasures...
Good afternoon all!
Been at Hereford post meridiem with a few interesting 'maiden' races. No monies were exchanged in the process.
ION: Roderick the Rat has been observed clearing up the spilt birdseed by the keen-eyed Barnfind, yet, despite B's heroic efforts (quite the display!) from within the double-glazed comfort of the PH Withdrawing Room, Mr Rat continued unconcerned with 'is feasting, and no mistake!
IOTN: Whoever was responsible for furnishing this room needs flogging (see 'kissing the gunner's daughter' earlier) for it has mismatched colours and seating, and that's just for starters!!!
