Same with certain threads. There are posters who think they ‘own’ a thread and will try to shoo off anyone who doesn’t post in line with their wants, even to the point of petty nitpicking.

Guess who I’m thinking of ?
Trump obsessions?
Ditto the Elon Musk thread.
That seems a low blow 98elise.

You’ve made some excellent contributions to the Trump thread and as many posters in PH (even if only occasionally) acknowledge, they read that thread for the insight it offers.

Just because one person posts more than others doesn’t make them the thread owner. Biker often acknowledges others and admits inaccurate posts. He happens to be the person who tracks what a broad church of outlets are covering that we might not otherwise read.

Trump remains a hugely divisive tt who is more self obsessed than any five year old should be if they are going to grow up as a fully functioning adult.

Same with Musk.

But don’t let he obvious get in the way of making such comments, eh? Especially when you contribute really well.

That’s a genuine observation, by the way.

Yep, Byker is very busy on that thread curating the info, but even though it is rather one-sided I think most posters would welcome hearing from someone pro-trump if they had evidence to suggest he's not a massive crook and truly abhorrent individual.

I didn’t mean byker btw. I used to read the trump thread regularly, was a good summary.

What was a low blow?

Obsessions with Musk and Trump were mentioned and I *instantly* thought of a particular PH'er - and that's despite me spending very little time in either the Trump or Musk thread.

I'd put money on most regular PH'ers arriving at the same conclusion.

I have zero axe to grind either way; simply an observation. I'd caveat that by saying that I can't comment on whether the person is petty or thinks they "own" a thread, but certainly the trump and musk obsession comments made my mind automatically go to that person.

He also jumped on the Horner thread and tried to bring his inquisitional style with him in that nothing but the approved narrative allowed, it's very tiresome.

Why is it a low blow? If you post any counter arguments on there childish name calling soon follows.

The Musk thread is not a place for sensible or balanced debate. It's a mostly circle jerk for like minded people.

The Trump thread is the same in many ways, however I just happen to be on the "right" side. I'll debate the point though rather than attack the poster or resort to name calling.

Did Welshy actually read threads? - I got the impression he mostly just looked at the pictures.

Good call, seemed a decent bloke with decent posts.

I also liked blindswelledrat but mainly as he was the internet’s malcolm tucker, very amusing insults.

Sadly a dying art form. Shame as a good argument based on logic and explained points of view is enjoyable. Trolling and name calling is tedious.

BSR? I haven't read anything like that. Always thought he was amusing with some rants, would never have imagined him and prison though.

You sure you're not thinking of 10ps?
