I would also argue a lot of the men hiring escorts do it as a status symbol akin to an expensive suit, watch or car. Once they had been seen with a stunning women on their yacht or social event the high is achieved and more than likely never actually sleep with them.. just send them on their way with a Birkin bag.

Years ago, I worked near Shoreditch and frequented a few of the local strip pubs with mates after work. I got to know a few of the dancers (and am still in touch with some).Some of them did 'private' events, which were 4 or 5 girls in a flat giving full contact (and maybe more) lap dances to guys.
