That particular style of trainers does not provide enough height. I typically see the Balenciaga/ Gucci types that add at least 3 inches to their height... plus whatever it is they put inside as they almost always walk as if they were in heels.

I didn't see any specific thread.... only took me to the Watch sub-forum. I agree some of the watches are awful and don't even suit the wearer at all (yeah, the Toolex/ Rolex bubble thread). Those tacky threads and posts on pistonheads where the poster pretends to be so old money or wealthy that they claim to have no idea what something totally normal or mundane is like
