or kids in the 70s running around hitting the backs of their hands together ............shouting " Joey"
Joey is now one of the PH contributors.I'm unsure whether she was more displeased about swearing, or calling someone a Joey.
#childofthe70s
There used to be a guy, always very well dressed, straw boater, cane etc, who would be dancing and directing traffic at Offington Corner Roundabout on the A24. Used to see him a lot from the back of the car when we went through as a child. I'm sure he is long dead now but the world that little bit emptier for the loss of such a colourful character.

Anyone visiting Oxford Street in the early seventies or late sixties will know Stanley Green the Protein and lentil man.
He could often be seen pedaling along the A40 carrying his placard going home to Northolt after a hard day selling anti passion leaflets.
Not being funny but is that Clive Burr of Iron Maiden in the background….He could often be seen pedaling along the A40 carrying his placard going home to Northolt after a hard day selling anti passion leaflets.

Anybody remember what we kids did with our eggs on Easter Morning? Well I just found this embarrassing video of me reenacting the tradition to show Wifey. My only defence was we had just got home from the Pub
Hard boiled eggs , boiled in gorse or cochineal so they came out bright yellow/ red , then as a family we took the dog to the top of creech Hill and rolled the eggs down , followed by a family pub lunch at the square and compass
