I am mostly grumpy today as some inconsiderate type decided 6am was a perfectly good time to have an argument with his workmate in the hotel corridor.

And once i am awake, that is it, i can not get back to sleep. Wonderful rolleyes

The local river is in flood due to rather large amount of precipitation yesterday. This means my trip to the vampire shop will be detoured I imagine. Just the 11(eleven) items to be tested for this morning!

Suns up today for a while so a nice walk is on the cards with luck and maybe a restaurant lunch.

I'm not sure how I'd have reacted to that, but possibly badly.

Aahhh Saturday, thanks Bomma, today our Saturday is a mixed bag, Mrs Bobbers is off to have an eye test and spend an eye watering amount on some new glasses, then we'll do some shopping for food related stuffs, home and do the cleaning, then weather permitting I will spend the rest of the day in the garden trying to make it look like a garden again instead of a bit of waste ground, meanwhile Mrs Bobbers is off to have her hair did!!!

Whatever you're up to, enjoy your day!?

PS, I've ordered one of your amazing TT Corn-U-Copia Footcare Dermabrasia Rotary Flapsander attachments for Mrs Bobbers hard skin on her feet after the last diamond coated industrial floor abrader failed to remove it, the hard skin that is, not Mrs Bobbers.

Awoke this morning to a power cut, the house was in silent mode. Back on now.

Yesterday golf was cancelled so we went and had a play with the FILs drone near to Raby Castle. We had a very wet thunderstorm whilst watching Life of Brian and munching on hot cross buns. The we had a fish and chip supper and in nearly ran Mrs H over whilst reversing on the drive, did we laugh!

Golf is cancelled today so I will do another coat on the tiles this morning.

When working for two weeks in Gibraltar during covid, our hotel was where they also quarantined ships workers for the two weeks, who decided they'd have parties late everynight, despite the fact they shouldn't have been mixing. We asked them to shut up by 11, keep the noise down, they told us to F off.

So we complained to the hotel, who got the health authorities and police involved (breaking covid rules) end result was they all got moved out into some draconian accomodation, where they couldn't mix and their 2 week quarentine started all over again...

Today is bright and sunny, walked Asha, but whilst the coughing has reduced, thats left me tired out, so pause and rest before anything else today.

We may go for a stroll around the dock today, because we know a few places, but have generally ignored the few local shops, have no idea where the train station is. Just thought we'd put some markers on a map. Supposed to be a good butcher there, show shop and possibly an antiques shop, hence the idea of a gentle stroll of discovery

Toddler in full toddler mode. Cute, but loud. A second doggie arriving for the day today. New to the owner, and I’m not sure how well they socialise with other dogs. It’ll be old vs. young. Let battle commence!

I might build myself a shed, just to be able to go and hide I it for the next 36 hours!

I was specifically told NOT to open the door.
Possibly because they would have given me a beating.

Thanks witteringon, but Mrs Bobbers is of the "if I can't try them on then I won't buy them" persuasion.

Other providers are available. Glasses direct messed me about a lot, in the end I cancelled and went elsewhere. Actually ended up in Adsa and got 3 pairs of glasses, reading, computer and driving for £100.

Specsavers were awful, no time taken, no customer care, you were on a rushed conveyor belt and the glasses they produced at the end I refused and refused to pay because they were all wrong..

Worst flooding I’ve seen in 22 years here. This photo taken about an hour ago. The river is around 75 metres further on after that bend. The house contents I’ve been given are floating around in a house around that corner also which will have around 1 metre of water in now.

The fire brigade had just evacuated a Scottish couple from that White House on the corner. Their house is beautiful inside!
A few people in tears as we were there.
