Good morning all. A slight ground frost makes me glad i put a bit extra soil on top of the very first sign of potato growth in the garden last night!

Madame M lands at Limoges this afternoon so I should have some clean underwear for tomorrow now.

I’m in early discussions about a rather nice Fiat coupe 20vt+ but it’s 2,500 klm away in Bulgaria. I feel a road trip coming on!

Yo, Trivs!

Sorry, that was me being "street". I'll try not to do it again.

Nice job on Ivor, Bobbers, that black bit has come up a treat. And I'm another Malbec enthusiast, you can't go far wrong with Malbec, unless you try drinking the Jamshed stuff.

Today, I will be mostly visiting Gunwharf in that there Pawtsmuff, in the company of Miss O'Logical, who has a birthday looming. If anybody needs me, I'll probably be in the Ralph Lauren store, hanging around while she tries on yet another item, prior to flexing my credit card.

Morneve All coffee

I'm tired. Started exercising again and not adjusted my sleep to compensate, nor quite got my nutrition right. Awoke at 5 hungry after a swim, despite munching a large curry for dinner, and honey sandwiches not long before bed.Double-size coffee to start the day and off to the physio shortly for what will hopefully be the last 'fixing' appointment for a while.

Snoopy definitely reflects my outlook this morning, hammo, although I fear I may lack his determination!

I feel surprisingly chipper for not sleeping well and it being Monday morning.
Today I am wearing new jeans to work, I've been wearing chinos but with all the walking I do they don't last that long, I've chaffed through the crutch of 2 pairs in around 7 months.
We've discussed Post Watershed talk before. "Chaffed through the crutch," is entirely unacceptable at this hour. Members must wait until 9pm at the earliest for such outbursts.

Gude Moaneve, my little possums! wavey

Monday, eh? And so begins another week of days in the life of our valued residents.
I'm not saying there's a conspiracy or anything, but I have done my own research and there's definitely a change in the weather today. After two pleasant days, it's grey and drizzly, but a tad warmer.
I have busied myself replenishing my pillbox weekly organiser with various Haribo Starmix Delights, and have filled out my repeat prescription request slip to drop off at the GP Surgery before 11:00hrs so that I stand an outside chance of obtaining reinforcements by next weekend if I'm lucky. The steppage involved will contribute to my daily exercise total, but I shall still do my aerobics and stretchy exercises with my borrowed length of green rubber. Ooh-err Missus! smile

Then I need to send my meter readings to my energy supplier to avoid ridiculous estimates that are comparable to the energy consumption of a medium sized factory.

This afternoon I shall head over in Carys Yaris to collect Robbopoppet & Big George from school. I will need to swap an extra child seat from the C-Ma_.

It's all go here oop norf innit!

When it comes to wine appreciation, I was never a connersewer, but I did enjoy a nice St. Emilion or Côtes du Rhône.
Or some of the tasty Malbec from Argentina, or Chile's Valle Centrale. Merlot or Shiraz from Oz can be rather quaffable too.

But these days, I restrict myself to drinking wine on special occasions only.
I still tend to avoid the Welsh Claret though. yuck

The racing at Croft was most excellent. Saloon Endurance, Caterham, MX5s, Classic Hot Hatch, Alfa Romeo and Sport 1000.
I loved my time engineering for a privateer racing caterhams with the 750 motor club. The support races wink were great

Hhhmmm, I bought a bottle of Chateau neuf du papé as I'd heard good things about it, spent £21 on a bottle and I must say I'm very underwhelmed by it. frown
Try a Pinot noir from the Alsace region Bobbers or a Bourgogne . https://www.bi1cave.fr/webSiteCaveBi1/fr/web-bi1/b...

Both very enjoyable.
I'm starting to think that French wines aren't my thing Magoo.
I wouldn’t be seen drinking that pape rubbish to be honest Bobbers.

I find the southern hemisphere’s wine very ‘forced’ and leave a bitter taste.
Those I’ve recommended are quality wines.
Whatever red wine you buy leave it open for an hour before drinking.
believe it or not, many are blaming Climate change for the weather leading to poor CNDP wines.
I've not been one particularly for the South American wines but just occasionally find a decent one. The South African are good.

The problem now seems to be the £6 wines are now £8.50, where it used to be £8-9 and upwards got a slightly better than just drinkable red, which means you are looking £9-12 and upwards now for a drink during the week, or more for a treat.

Whispering Angel is good for a rose that drinks like a white, but it's so expensive, though cheaper than the Pouille Fuisser that Mrs B likes. Even then, those now it's difficult to find a good, buttery one.

I've spent the whole morning trying to do.my expenses for a 5 day work.trip to Holland last week.

19 receipt, although to obtain my taxi rides on Uber, I've had to down load separate pdfs from uber, PayPal and my bank account.

This is the first time I've been anywhere with this new employer, and its the worst set of excel forms with pointless macros I've ever witnessed. The muppet thought they are fit for purpose is clearly on drugs.

Sigh.

Oh, sorry, did you miss it? Most of us spoke earlier about going organic. Sadly, we exhausted Greenfield's stock of organic trivia in 21 minutes and 15 seconds.

That's quite impressive seeing as they always have a stock out the back.

Too late! He's hugger mugger with old Mr Greenfield in the Lounge Bar of The Surprised Gynaecologist discussing turning over the paddock behind the shop to Free Range Trivia. (For Free Range, read Organic.) With the Greenfield's agreement. Obviously. He's suggesting redirecting the crew building the tunnel under Trivton Henge to sort out the paddock Toot Sweet. All I told him was the budget had to come out of the Peek Freans tin, not the Huntley & Palmer tin. And not to involve the Colombian Trade Delegation. Or Dunstable, Haywain and Argent. Or the Earl. Or the Dean.

Earl & Dean? Are they still refurbishing the old cinema?

Must dash. Lots to do. The village won't vilify itself.
