I've spent the day playing at Curborough sprint track, which is a lot of fun, but am now very worn out, and I don't think I've properly warmed up yet.
Up'n'Atom? I trust fun was had.
Well, what do you expect, spikey?
If you must insist on driving with the windows wide open, you're bound to get a bit of a draught! rolleyes

Did you forget your willy-warmer too? frown

Good morrow fellow Trivialities everywherewavey
Well, it's humpday!!!
Quite what I'm supposed to be humping I've yet to find out.

Yesterday was a better day, today will be less so, 2 meetings, a "GEMBA walk", which is where we walk around the boards for each area looking at any problems and I take away a list of the problems and try to find solutions, and an FRB "Fast Response Board" a process of figuring out what went wrong, how it went wrong and what we can do to stop it from happening again, all this on top of my normal work.

Sounds like a lot of None Value Added there.
And I say this as someone that was taught about Just in Time in my first week at Polytechnic in 1985 and has been immersed in trying to get manufacturing to be more efficient since then.

I tend to try not to use the Japanese words if I can help it.

Gemba = Go look.
Kanban = Signal
Poke Yoka = Idiot proofing.

Done any "Chalk Circle Analysis" yet.

Taiichi Ohno was having a laugh with that one.

Morning all.

I've a day of sums, and probably catching up on whatever happened yesterday whilst I was playing.

It's a great place to play, and everyone there enjoyed it.

I may have to consider getting a trailer, it's about a two hour drive to get there, so spent far more time travelling there and back than I did playing.

Morneve All coffee

I am beginning to feel very much like my friend's old 1995 Rover 416i by the time he had it around 2010: completely and utterly worn out, but somehow still going.

Never mind. We'll be halfway through at noon. Onwards!

Today is my last day at work for a while - ish.
Asha is now going this morning to Pembroke with the neighbours who will be looking after her so the house will feel strange.
Tomorrow early we set off for Belgium until Sunday. Monday I'm working but keeping it very quiet that I am then Op on tuesday and a couple of weeks recovery at least.

This week has mostly been about handing over stuff and making sure it's in as good a point for someone else to do as possible

Gud moaneve!

You find me in some discomfort from aching in the lower back and left hip. I can't understand what brought it on, but it's not dissimilar to the pains I was getting which ultimately resulted in my lumbar region being shored up with some metaleork several years ago. I hope that I can get rid of it, as I don't want to have another operation and subsequent six months of recovery. I'll resort to drugs, see if that works.

In other news, I had a very enjoyable day out at Gunwharf Outlet Shopping Paradise with my darling daughter, including a very nice lunch. I don't think that traipsing around designer outlet shops was the cause of my present discomfort, as I was aching before we went - I have a nasty feeling that the cause might have been my 139-mile round trip to Goodwood last Thursday, which is very disappointing, as one of the principal excuses for buying the Golf was to motivate me to get out and drive more. In my previous life, when I could be bothered to work for a living, I'd often do 200+ miles per day, with a day's work thrown in as well.

I might try some adjustments to my driving position, then do the Goodwood trip again.

Meanwhile, I'm off out into a rather grey and gloomy morning for some steppage. See if that helps.

Bobbers - put an open bag of chips on the roof of somebody else's car. The ste-hawks won't bother with Ivor then.

Problem solved.

Laters,...

DOL

That all sounds unpleasant. I find as I get older every form of exercise leaves me with an ache or a pain. At the moment it’s swollen elbow due to 18 holes and both ankles, collapsed arches, with steppage.

Roll on the warming bone weather it was 5 degrees yesterday.

DOL, my sympathies.

I note that you have had serious intervention in the past so my suggestion might not work. But I was afflicted thus a while back and Mrs psi eventually got fed up with my limping about the place and forced me to go to her osteopath. It did not deal with everything but the surprisingly slight chap who bone crunched me had me, if not fighting fit, at least serviceable in a couple of sessions.

Rescuing.

Trivial, aye?

I could see a pigeon, but it flew away while I was typing this. Which is odd, as it appeared to be asleep.

Jesus Christ people are so bloody ignorant these days!!! rage
Just looked out our front room window as I came to go upstairs for a bath, someone has parked across our drive blocking us in.
Went round to the neighbour on the left and was treated with:
Ooohhh sorry Bobbers, sorry do you want my friend to move?
No, what I want is for your friend to have the decency to knock my door and ask if it's ok!!!

I don't mind people asking to park across the drive, so long as they ask!!! rage
