Morning all.
Awful nights sleep, plus Mrs B waas up at 5:30 today because she's being a poll worker at a local station, so on duty 6:30-10:30 tonight.

I went to try to have a shower but felt dizzy so gave up with that idea, however the brusing is coming out and i'm quite sore today. Of concern is my old chap is completely bruised/deep red.

Nurse said she'd ring today to ask about any concerns, so obviously this is the worse day?

Neighbour said she's walk Asha but it's pouring with rain, so we'll see when that happens. Otherwise I think it's a day of dozing in front of the TV today.

Cracking Snoopy cartoons there Byker, raised a smile first thing. Good to hear you are recovering, take your time. I had a mega bruised old chap when they went in via the groin for my second set of stents, looked like the universe down there for a couple of weeks.

I had a restless night with bad stomach cramps, no idea what caused that. I’ve completed my morning urine sample ready for handing in the the surgery this morning. My blood pressure yesterday was good 120/80 and feet pulse and needle test all good too. I await the blood and urine test results.

Here’s your daily calendar Snoopy to accompany Byker’s surgery ones. Have a good day whatever your plans are.

I was sleeping in an easterly direction when at 03.27 hrs I was awakened by much thunder lightning and heavy rain which fortunately didn't last long. I was tempted to take some lightning photos but common sense kicked in and I went back to the land of nod.

Re Bobbers' nostrils, I read somewhere/heard on the radio that only one nostril at a time provides your sense of smell and that it changes over every four hours or so. I'll leave that thought with you.

Sounds like we had the thunder and lightning before you White Stiletto, was awoken by it at 0230 and kept awake for over an hour!!

Nose appears fully functioning this morning, if very stuffy, voice nearly non existent.

I was trying to go back to sleep this morning when I heard Ivor being started, I was intrigued as Mrs Bobbers had just left for work, so I got up to see what was going on, she informed me that she'd looked over as she started her car and noticed that both windows and the sunroofs were wide open on Ivor!!!
I have no idea what's caused it, but she assured me that it was dry inside the car?!?!?

On some BMWs, if one of the buttons on the key fob is held down continuously all the windows will open (to allow the interior to cool without you having to get into the car after it's been in the sun) and there have been instances where this has been replicated in a full handbag/pocket.

Try it with the "unlock" button.

We moved yesterday so i am out of whiffy range until at work.
It was a glorious day, removal firm turned up early and got cracking, got the keys to the new place early and then.....it started.

Wife says - George and i are off to the new place, see you later.
Me: Hang on a minute, still need to lift carpets and stuff.
Her: best get on then
Me irked

Get to the new place 4 and a half hours later to find she has invited all and sundry round to have a good nose about but done sod all work.
irkedirked

Removal firm turns up - they went to the cafe we used to live above for lunch, can't say i blame them - and get everything indoors. smile
Her: well i can't find anything, why hasn't this been done, where is this, why aren't you getting things sorted
In hindsight, suggesting she wedge one of the brooms up my arse so i can sweep the floors at the same time in front of everyone was possibly not the best thing to say.
So George - step son - and i set to sorting st out while she fked off out with her sister to buy curtain poles, curtains and blinds.
Came back.
Well they are all in the car, i can't carry them. Why is the bed in the hallway? Why is the washing machine so far out? Why isn't the freezer plugged in?
What about Kevin - the tortoise -?

Me: grumpy

So i finally said enough at 10:30 last night and she has the hump because she can't watch tv and so missed her favourite programs.

All in all i'm sort of glad to be back at work today and we have had rain but nothing like others are reporting.
New place? Compact & bijou Mostin, compact & bijou.
We live a half decent bronchial cough from the ECML so trains running almost constantly but it is home.

Anyway, once work is done i have no t'internet so i'll be about....sort of

Glad you’re on the mend, Bobbers.

There’s a lot to be said for poverty spec vehicles. Far less complication and fewer opportunities for things to go wrong, often expensively.

Firstly and most importantly, get well soon Bykerette.
Firstly part 2, I've reached out to peqoud but had no response, thoughts are with you peqoud if you're reading this.

Secondly and very nearly as importantly, well done on the move slopes, moving home is one of the most stressful things in life, best wishes for settling in and making it home!

Thirdly and less impertanterer, been out and checked Ivor, bone dry inside!!! I reckon Mrs Bobbers has managed to long press the unlock button (thanks both White Stiletto and hammo19, I was aware of the feature) when she's got her keys out to unlock the front door this morning!!!

Last time we moved, 27 years ago? Mrs B and the kids went to Butlins, removal men came in the day before and packed everything. On removals day I just told them to put stuff where they thought it should go, I had the kitchen and bedrooms habitable by the time everyone returned about 7pm.

So easy
