Slightly alarming to recall that the last time I was in Malta, we still ran the place. Cripes!

The name Dom Mintoff sprang to mind when I read that. Funny the way the mind works.

The Stihl strimmer was a pain to get started today after a winter off. Time for a service I think.

Heat the spark plug with a lighter first.

You’re welcome.

Excellent day at the museum. I ended up doing the car park, welcoming and till. We had 17 motorbikes turn up, Triumphs, Nortons, BMWs and Ducatis. We had some interesting chats.

Bobbers, Mrs H is great too as I’ve just been handed a roast beef, roast pots, veg and yorkie pudding (not the hairy type) smothered in gravy.

Gude Evemore Gnawl. wavey

Rainy drizzle this morning, giving way to drizzly rain and a sunny period this afternoon here oop norf on this day of the anniversary of the hatching of #1 son ( EB.)
We invited him to visit us and he duly showed up thus afternoon with FrankieDoggie, who was very excited to see us ( it's been a while ).
Daughter #1 and family also came round and presents were given, and the traditional "Happy Birthday to You"s were sung as Mrs Robbo brought in the cake with candles lighted. These were successfully extinguished by one big puff.
Hey, stop that sniggering and do behave at the back there! nono

Dinner this evening was poached smoked haddock in parsley sauce, mashed potato, fine green beans, garden peas and two poached eggs. Nice, and healthy too. angel

rolleyes What a boring perst! My sincere apologies. paperbag

And so it be on to this...

Byker, sorry to hear about your tedious and frustrating experiences trying to re-enter Blighty by legal means. frown
No wonder so many resort to crossing La Manche on small inflatable boats.

Chuck the plug away and buy a new one. Single cylinder twostrokes eat them.
Also:
Carb cleaner. Good stuff. Although to be honest brake cleaner seems to work just as well.
A bit counterintuitive I suppose.

I've had a very fun- packed day involving a short sea passage, a small emergency with fuel filters, two pints of Guinness and a meeting with a new friend called Fiona.
And I finally found the Amex card I lost about ten years ago in the pocket of my oilskin trousers.

That’s not good, Bobbers! frown In case it helps: be like Pike.

Enjoy your nap, paua!

We’re getting all the bathrooms done in one hit starting in a week, and the lack of comms from the trades is worrying me. One clearly set out task list plus questions sent.

Plus a few other menial admin tasks I just haven’t had time for. I’m going to be pooped later! Three nights in a row of shortened sleep: that’s not very me.

Youngest and his partner are vegan, so I've had veg for 4 days..
Last night we had a mushroom risotto when we got home, using a lot of those mushrooms we brought back.

Slight issue with the tulip bulbs we got from Amsterdam, we'd left them in the boot of the car for two days, the car reeked of weed. Had to get bin bag, wrap them up, and they are now outside airing
