Cold here (3-6C) near Edinburgh raining too…
Hoping for a warmer drier Easter Sunday and our first run out of the year.

My wife and I are just back from another dog walk in the rain, trudging through the mud (East Lothian, Scotland). I seriously can’t deal with this weather anymore. It’s cold, grey and wet and has been all day, and is forecast to continue till tomorrow.

We have been talking about selling up for the last six months, buying a motorhome, living in it for the rest of the summer then travelling around Europe in the winter. We really want to move somewhere warmer, as I seriously can’t do another 6 months of rubbish weather followed by a mediocre summer.

It really does grind you down doesn't it?
I'm so fed up of the rain, fed up of wiping the mud off the dogs everything they go out.
If its a wet summer again I'll go crazy.

2 days in 6 weeks it has been clear here, 2 bloody days. Every other day it has rained at some point and been grey and cool, not freezing but cold enough to be annoying. I have had enough.

Don't forget you can only stay in the EU (without a visa) for 90 days out of every rolling 180.

Yes, that is having a big impact on our plans. We are looking into some form of digital/business visas if we plan on making a more permanent move. My brother in law lives in France and was able to sort his visa out a few years ago.

As someone who sells convertible cars, I've been keeping a close eye on the weather to see if it was as bad as we all thought it was last year.

We've had four days in Surrey this year so far when it hasn't rained at some point during the day.

Four days.

Bloody hell, has it really been that bad?! No wonder I've not even attempted a BBQ yet.

Nice and sunny this morning for the 5 mins drive to drop the Corvette for MOT and service.....reliably informed it'll be raining by the time I go to pick it up.

Glorious day here in MK. Sun is out, few wispy clouds and contrails from planes. Proper spring morning.

Dont worry though. 98% of rain later. FMD

Downtown Chesterfield reporting. I've been waiting weeks for it to be dry enough, warm enough and breeze-free outside so I can spray some car parts. Finally, weeks after I prepared the parts (air filter housings) I'm able to do the job. irked

We've had several spring 'false starts' when it's been dry but cold though never dry and warm; there's always been a feeling of 'not yet' in the air.

Like others, I've had enough. In the past, living in the UK, even with all its faults, compensated for the iffy weather but not any more, it's st here now. We're still having to put the heating on for an hour in the morning, normally at this time of the year I'm wearing shorts outside. grumpy

it's about 3 degrees cooler in the hills 20 mins west of you! nice to have a dry day, but no shock it's due to start pissing down in a couple of hours.

get yourself down to the alehouse or real ale corner for a couple of pints. that'll make you feel better.

Continue to have lovely weather up in the NW Highlands. As usual, March and April tend to be sunny and dry.

July/August will be st of course. Always are.

This is probably the best place to mention the Met Office are trialing a new set of weather data which you can opt in to via a cookie setting.

The trial data is meant offer better temperature forecasts, and greater accuracy of likelihood of precipitation. It is also intended to offer "more accurate weather symbols" which I don't quite understand.

Opt in link is https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/about-us/website/enha...
