As above it's the second glorious day in a row here in Aberdeenshire - unbroken warm sunshine and temperatures in the high teens with the Foehn effect working nicely. Bit of a breeze today but still lovely.

Two days on the trott down here on the south coast. It took a while to get going this morning, I happened to be cycling whilst grey, overcast and blowy, but been much nicer this afternoon. Finally it's looking a bit better.

After a very pleasant few days of near unbroken warm sunshine and temperatures in the high teens here in Aberdeenshire a short squally band of rain just passed over and it's now 4 degrees... Still sunny at least!

After a false start a couple of weeks ago my shorts came out of the drawer and were worn all day today; summer has been declared in downtown Chesterfield.

ETA: Cancel the above. 12 hours later and It's absolutely lashing down, heavier than anything we've had so far this year.

2 degrees. Horizontal rain with a hint of sleet. Wrong thread.

I blame Colin.

Whoop! First thunderstorm of summer here in east Bedfordshire now! No lightning yet but a couple of very loud thunder claps.

Today's weather has reached the 'revolting' threshold!

Looking forward to that high pressure...

Pretty horrific in Surrey. At least it's Monday and I don't need to leave the house today!

Same here (Romford, Essex) earlier. Really strong winds and than a squall when the winds got stronger, heavy rain and hail. And the temperature dropped by a couple of degrees.

Better now though - sunny but still windy.

Not often this happens. Feeling a tad smug. Clear blue skies and beautiful sun this morning. Cold tho’. April showers set for the afternoon and next few days.

I’ll take it!

Beautiful weather over the weekend had a brief hiatus here in Oxfordshire this morning. Was cold, windy and very wet this morning. The wind and cold remain, but glorious sunshine. Still a bit too chilly to sit in the garden in a t-shirt, but at least its not raining cool

This hit us on Southwold beach this morning.

Five minutes of intense hail, driven horizontally by a biting 40 mph wind.

It actually hurt!

Even the dog refused to be photographed.

BBC etc playing it cautious then with 'sunny spells'? Would have thought that much high pressure would be clear blue skies.....
