Hi TVR

Very interesting reading, although the prison thing is nothing new to read about, especially when compared to the likes of treatment people receive when busted in parts of south east Asia or the Americas but I just can't get my head around why you made that fateful deal?

You said yourself there were several warning signs and that you were usually very aware of the details in your surroundings on a daily basis (which in itself sounds like a living hell to me). So why be so stupid and not walk away? Surely that's a VERY important part of the role of a distributor?

Also, the meeting place. Is the side of a busy road really a natural place to pick up a fridge from someone else?

And an 8ft hedge on the other side of the car? Aren't you supposed to account for escape routes etc?

Genuinely interested in the thought process behind it. smile
I'd think that by the time the 8ft hedge is causing you an issue, it's much, much too late.

Planning to escape on foot from the SOCA is perhaps a bit redundant.

Who said anything about on foot?

Unless they have a helicopter deployed they would likely find it pretty difficult to chase a 450 dirt bike through woodland if they never knew it was part of the escape plan.

Although in saying that, you’re right, going on the run isn’t exactly an appealing life, especially with a little girl.

To be brutally honest, I hope it was the worst time of his life. I don't understand all the fawning over this guy. It's reminiscent of the Flemke thread, only that guy has something to be proud of.

A prison history should not be something to be proud of.

Just my 2p.
Wtf
No one said he is proud / should be proud
To add further to this, I nearly ended up there myself many years ago, for something completely different but none the less, I truly was afraid if I went in I wouldn't make it, so it fascinates me to hear about what someone else has been through, as said, he isn't proud of it but it is still an interesting subject, if you are offended by it, why read it?? You can always sod off somewhere else no ones stopping you!!

Well, assuming he doesn't run until the police try to apprehend him, and they've been surveilling him for month, so they know who he is, and where he and his family lives, getting away on a dirt bike for a few hours isn't going to solve much.

Point taken about feet though.

Stop trying to create an argument - the guy didn't say he was offended at all! He simply said he didn't like the fawning and I agree with him completely.
If this was a pub and a guy walked in who'd just been released from prison for 6 years I would have zero interest in him. Just another criminal who got caught - good.

Of course the prison time is quite interesting but when you can cover a year in a paragraph, I suspect our lives have been far more interesting over those 6 long years.

Hence “escape PLAN”....

Provisions can and will be made for these types of situations the world over i presume.

If he had got away, did the police have a warrant to kick down the doors to his house? Was his wife and child also convicted of consipiacy?

If not then they were likely free to leave the country I presume and meet up somewhere outside the UK.

There hasn't been any fawning.

None.

There has been lots of curiousity.

Different.

When you are inside, do you have any idea of what is going on outside - things happening in the news, technology advances, whatever. Or are you kept in the dark until they open the gate and let you out?

If you have been inside for a long time, I can see why people reoffend to go back in again as that is 'normal' compared to what they are now faced with.

Just caught up with this thread.

Genuinely interesting. I've nothing bad to say about TVR.

I do have a question about the whole feeling / clues / inklings you get about being under surveillance.
A tracker was mentioned?
And UAV / drone footage,

Can you go into further details about how you'd look out for these types of things.

TVRM, a question.

Why do you keep saying 'the prosecution alleged'? Seeing as you were found guilty, can't you say 'I did', or 'I was found to...'

Or is it a case that you were not guilty on some charges and guilty of others?

I'd be amazed if anyone could fit a fridge on the back of a 450 dirt bike, even hypothetically.

You could, anyone that thinks this would be a viable escape method though has been watching too many films.

He didn't even have time to get his phone out his hand let alone unload a dirt bike from the back of a transit.

That's before the issues of who the transit is registered to, etc, etc

There are no 'keyboard warriors', just civil adults with a different opinion to yours so please stop name calling and trying to create divisions.
